Chapter 2- Squads

(Time skip their last day at the academy.)

"You have all come a long way since your first day here at the academy." Iruka sensei says as he stands at the front of the class. "Some more than others." He says as he looks back at Amaya and Naruto who are sitting at the back of the class as usual. "Today we will be splitting you guys into squads."

The whole class cheers. Iruka sensei starts naming off squads. "Our first squad will be squad 10. It will consist of: Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akimichi, and Ino Yamanaka. Your squad leader will be Asuma."

The new squad stood up as their names were called and they head to the front of the room. "Ok our next squad is squad 8. Shino Aburame, Kiba Inuzuka, and Hinata Hyuga. Your sensei will be Kurenia."

They head to the front of the room leaving only a few students behind including Amaya, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke, "Ok and our last squad will be squad 7. Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno-"

Iruka sensei is cut off by Sakura screaming "YES!!!" as she hugs Sasuke's arm. " ......Sorry." She looks down at her lap and Iruka sensei continues "And Amaya Hatake. Your squad leader will be Kakashi."

"Please! Not Kakashi! Anyone but Kakashi!" Amaya protests.

Iruka sensei looks at Amaya surprised. "Why do you say that Amaya?" Iruka sensei asks confused.

"Just please put me with any other squad! Please!" Amaya says looking desperate.

"Sorry I don't make the decisions the hokage does. If you have a problem you will have to take it up with him." Amaya looks at the ground as she, along with the rest of squad 7, head to the front of the room to join the other kids.

Everybody heads out to hang out with their new squad mates. Amaya heads to the Hokage's office.

(At the hokage's office)

Amaya knocks on the door. "Come in." She hears come from inside the room. She walks in.

"Is there something you need Amaya?"

"Well, I kind of got put in the same squad as my dad and I was hoping that it was just a mistake." Amaya says shyly, looking down at the ground.

"No, there is no mistake. I put you in his squad because I needed you to be in a squad with someone who knew about your situation and could watch after you." The hokage replies.

"But he's always babying me like I cant do anything!" Amaya protests.

"You are lucky to be on a squad at all in your condition."

" But isn't there any other squad that I could be on? Please? Any at all?" Amaya begs.

"Well, I guess there is one."

"Really?! Who's?!" Amaya asks getting hopeful.

"Well we have some students that come from outside the village and they were put into their own squad with Nata and there is only 2 kids in their squad so I guess if you really wanted to-"

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Amaya shouts as she hugs him. Amaya lets go of him and takes a couple steps back before bowing and than running out of the office and running home.

The next morning Amaya wakes up and looks at her clock. "Oh no! I'm late!" Amaya says as she comes running out of her room to find Kakashi sitting at the table eating.
