Chapter . Fifteen

Music Playing: Automatic by Tokio Hotel

I awoke to the sound of music playing, stretching my limbs in the bed. I started to chuckle at Kylo kicking the air in her dream. I then got myself up and left her to continue her doggy dream. I made my way into the kitchen to find breakfast was already prepped on the table, with a note left on the table.

"Morning", a voice sounded,

"Morning", I replied,

"What's the note say?", asked Daisy,

"Oh, it says gone to to the grocery run for the cafe", I replied.

"Oh", Daisy said while making her cereal,

"Morning girls !", said Stacey cheerfully,

"Guess what, the attack the other day they might of had something to do with that big animal that attacked our Lil's and Spencer the other night, apparently the gossip is, that one of the guys said he growled when it attacked his friend and almost got him. Unfortunately the guys friend is still in ICU, but their identity hasn't been revealed yet or anything. What about you Lil's, has your group said anything yet?", she asked.

I shook my head in response,

"Well whatever it was, you are not leaving my sight ever, and that roster we just did is solid, it will work and keep not only you but everyone in the cafe safe. Anyways, lets get ready or else were gonna be late, ugh Mr Clarks class gives me the creepers", she froze.

"I'm already dressed and I am making our school lunches", smiled Stacey.

"You are a gem", I replied,

Daisy nodded and headed back towards her room,

Kylo came into the kitchen and Stacey got her a bowl ready of her food.

(A few minutes later)

We arrived at the school, I made my way to class. I couldn't help but still feel like people were gossiping or staring at me each time I arrived at school. The very thought made me feel uncomfortable, just on cue Spencer came over to me. 

He and I exchanged smiles and started talking about our news club session and extra tutoring, however fitting it into his hockey session. Me on the other hand had plenty of time to spare besides the occasional fitting in work at the cafe, until we both had a light bulb moment of fitting in the extra time to study together at the cafe.

When we were both satisfied, we figured out a plan to schedule in time with each other so that our attention was not taken away from customers, and we could easily do an hour to two hours on good days. 

So with that in mind, we were both off to our normal classes. There I spotted Natalia, her and I sat next to each other and we started talking about other things besides the attacks that have been recently going on around the town. It really helped in taking my mind off of things, especially with the weirdness between myself and Lyde.

"So what's the deal with you and the cafes 'Care Bear'?", she mentioned,

"Pardon", I said, my mind trying to piece together and recollect most of what has happened.

"You, and Spencer, you know whats the story there?", she asked,

"Oh nothing, just we are good friends I mean, we work together is all",

"Rigggght, does he know that?",

"What do you mean?", I said confused,

"I mean do you like him, because it's pretty obvious the guy likes you and maybe even another one, over my shoulder Lyde's been staring at you for the whole entire time you arrived, what did you do to these boys to get so lucky",

As soon as she said that my eyes locked with Lyde's and a quick blush rose on my cheeks.

I stood up quickly.

"Um yes Miss Lili?", the teacher said, students were all staring at me and at my sudden reaction to standing up quickly. Feeling embarrassed, I said the first thing that came to mind. 

"Could I please use the bathroom?", I replied.

"Oh, yes, you may", the teacher said,

I quickly retreated out of the classroom and in pursuit of not.actually.needing.the.bathroom. but it was the only thing I could think about in that split second. 

When I finished in the bathroom, I started wondering the halls back to the classroom. I saw school photos and started to analyse them, one of you are going to give me the answers I need I thought to myself. Especially for my mum...with that in mind, I thought about making my way back to the classroom but I bumped into someone almost making me knock back and losing a bit of my balance.

"Seems like that is a bit of habit for you", the voice was low and sounded all too familiar,

I looked up and right there were the same eyes, staring back into mine and just in a split second a quick flash of yellow covered his almond brown in amber.

My heart started to race a little, and I could hear my heart beat loudly. 

"Lyde", I managed to say, with sweaty palms,

"The bell rang", with that he left me where I was,

"Lili !", called out Natalia who was holding up my bag for me,

I made my way over to her and we had another class together, also half thanking the school changes I requested. Not realising I had someone familiar and someone I potentially liked as a friend for me was in a few classes with me including Spencer, Daisy and Stacey and some of the radio crew...and...him. 

The next few periods were long and boring some we had tests that I managed to get high scores in. Then it was off to radio, Natalia and I made our way there. She was excited to start her new position with us, and just like that she hit it off really well, her nick name was Pocahontas, because believe it or not she was pride and loved speaking up for others, that and the girl knew her way around the schools and might I add the towns history.

"Hey City girl, your friend is definitely what we are looking for", he mentioned,

I nodded and we watched the clubs excitement unfold. 

"Alright team thats a wrap, we will all meet at the library tomorrow to publish our news paper for the following week, also everyone has to create a small blurb no more than 20 words. Well done Shang yours is done",

"What is the blurb about?",

"Anything, that is school appropriate",

"What did you write yours about?", I asked Spencer.

"You", he replied with a wink.
