ZAYN’S POV

And as she ran away with her head down low, the tension in the room didn’t change. As I look at the boys, I notice they both have the same expression as I have; confusion and worry. But as I heard all the things she just said to Harry seconds ago, I understand what she’s feeling.

“What happened?” Louis asks Harry with his eyebrows furrow with confusion.

“I-I don’t know.” He stuttered, lowering his head as if he was disappointed.

And right after he responded, the room embraces us with again another batch of silence. Even the Louis we all find as a life saver on moments like this doesn’t know how to start a conversation.

“I’ll look for her.” I said breaking the silence and all their eyes was looking at me. I didn’t even wait for their response; I went straight out of the house and started thinking where she’ll be found.

But sooner or later my mind thinks of the only place she’ll be going.

As I walk as fast as I can, my thoughts came flying in my mind. I never really see the whole thing in front of my eyes, I don’t have any idea what happened between them. When the boys and I check them, all I see was there’s a tension going on.

But from where I was standing when Florence said “I just miss you.” I know she meant it and I know she’s been keeping all what she’s feeling bottled up inside. I wasn’t blind and I wasn’t dense to see what she’s going through.

I can read what she truly felt like she's some sort of an open book.

I was never the sort of person to notice how someone can be happy but when I do, I examine their eyes and smiles. There are people whose eyes where as readable just like what they’re feeling. There are people whose faces are like a mask you’ll never know what’s hiding behind. When you see someone happy, it doesn’t mean they’re always happy. It means they want you to see what they’re happy façade is and not the face they’re hiding behind a mask. But times came where a person can’t hold it any longer and they’ll burst out and just break down.

It’s true that “Sometimes, the happiest people are the people who are hurting the most.” They are the people who hold so much emotions and the most painful thing to see was how they’re breaking down and falling to pieces.

She was the person where you can always see a smile on her lips, the person who always laughs care freely, the person who always puts smile for everyone, the person who’s been covering up all her feelings with a smile. She’s Florence.

Even the happiest smile she can put up hides many things.

I was out of my trance when I hear soft familiar sobbing coming from inside the cave. I climb the bulky rocks and see her resting her head on her knee as she pulled them to her chest.

She didn’t notice my presence so I quietly walk towards her and sat in front of her as I pull her on my chest and hug her tightly. She didn’t hesitate and hug me back like she never wants to let me go. She sobs continuously as I rub her back soothingly.

“We can never go through life without getting hurt; it’s a part of it.” I mumbled as I kiss her head lightly. She didn’t respond instead she pulls back and I see a little smile plastered on her lips. And this time, I know it’s true.
