Garroth's POV
Aphmau shattered the amulet. I told her when I gave it to her to break it if she was in trouble. This worries me. I know she's in trouble, and I know she's in a cave, because that's what she said before she broke it, but I have no idea where she is. Deciding that I wasn't helping by not doing anything, I made my way into the forest. I went in the same direction that Zane went, but I couldn't find any traces of anything. I wandered to Tsumetai Kokoro Lake, and she wasn't there. I went into the Wyvern Cave, and she wasn't there either, although I did ask Raven if he had seen my beloved Elfmeow. Not such luck.
I looked in every cave, and every hole in the earth I could find, but I could not find Aphmau. I seached every high and low, every cave , every rock, every tree. And I had no luck. I searched all night, but I couldn't find her. I was about to go back, and get Laurance and Dante to help, why I stumbled upon another cave. Looking down, I saw two conveniently place sticks on the ground in the shape of an X. Then my brain kicked in.
This is totally it. X marks the spot.
This is just a setup to lead me in the wrong direction.
Is Zane even smart enough for that?
Who isn't? Honestly.
Yeah, but this is Zane we're talking about here.
...
He didn't even take the communication amulet away, or you wouldn't even be here right now.
Yeah, you're right, this is totally it.
NOW WE'RE TALKING!!!Also I think I might have some problems if I even have those conversations in my head. But, anyway, I made my way into the cave. And there I found an abundance of O'khasis guards. And if Zane has this many guards guarding the place, something of value, must be inside. I heard distant sobbing. I think I found her.
Aphmau's POV
I just wanted to have fun tonight, and here I am, in a ball gown, locked in prison. I wonder if Garroth is looking for me. I if the village is doing okay without me. After Zane left, a bunch of guards were sent here. Glad I broke the amulet before they go here. But it was super dark, and all I could hear was the guards talking among each other. I knew I had been in here for a while, probably a few hours, but I wanted nothing more than to get out of there. It was cold, dark, and eerie. I buried my face in my knees and started to cry.
Hearing a bunch of running footsteps, I assumed that Zane was coming back and the guards were getting into position. I continued my sobbing until I heard the clanging of two metal object hitting against each other.
Two swords fighting each other.
I looked up in time to see one of the main guards jump back. Unable to speak, I just silently cried as I watched all the guards run to attack whoever was trying to get into the cave. One by one the O'khasis guards fell to the floor in defeat, and I looked up to see through the bars, none other than Garroth himself.
Seeing me, he grabbed the keys from the wall and unlocked the cell, as well as the chains on my feet. I stood up, buried my face in his chest and cried.
"What were you doing alone in the forest?" He asked as soon as I had calmed down.
"I-I thought you were going to leave me....." I said quietly. I looked up to face him, and his gaze softened. Without questioning any further, not even why I thought that, he just held me.
"Oh, Aphmau. I would never leave you."Those words. They made me cry, not because I was mad or upset in any way, but for joy and love. Garroth saved me from the dark, cold cave I was trapped in. He rescued me from his brother, father, home village. He rescued me from O'khasis. And he would never leave me. He said so himself.
I looked at him, still crying, and he was crying too.
I took a deep breath."You promise?"
"I promise."
The End
A/N-- Heyy! Did you enjoy the book? I was kinda in a hurry to get this out while I was inspired, so forgive any mistakes. But I still need title ideas for the sequel, and if you haven't picked a gemstone from last chapter, you should go do that. It's important for the next book. But, I really don't have anything else to say, except for that. I hope you enjoyed this book, your support has really been amazing, and I will see you in the sequel! Bai!!!
Question: In a scale of one to ten, how much did you like this book?
I can't answer that, but I had fun writing it.

FanfictionThis is what goes on after the most recent episode: 'Episode 75: Shadow Of Pikoro'. And yes this is a #garmau fanfic so there will be #garmau scenes. And not #laumau. And DEFINITELY not #zanmau. Sorry. Zane does not love her. Aphmau deserves better...
