Chapter 11: Someone New

I haven't updated in like a month...-3-

I have SOOOO much things to say.

1. So basically in the manga, Gajevy is basically cannon now. (If you know what I mean. I won't spoil). If any of you disagree, I'm right so back away.  (Jkjk 😂 (^o^))

2. I freaking love the new opening in the anime, like it's so legit. It has NaLu, GrUvia and Gajevy!!!! <3 (I put it up for you guys so enjoy!)

3. Air is getting animated next week! I can't wait!!!!!

4. (This is the last one) I'm so so sorry I haven't updated like in forever. I know a lot of you guys are waiting, so please don't give up on this story. Thank you.

Lucy's P.O.V

"Miss and Mr. Dragneel! "

The words dangled in the air as I tried to take in what I was hearing. I almost spit out my water when I realized what the lady said.

"WHAT?!" I screamed while the audience applauded. "MIRA! I'M GOING TO GET YOU!!" I slammed my glass down on the table and the water splashed up its sides.

I lunged forward but something around my waist stopped me. "Let go of me Natsu!" I yelled angrily. Instead of obeying, he carried me up the stage where the lady was waiting. He thanked the lady and received our tickets.

Next he carried me to the front desk. "What are you doing?" I asked while I was on his shoulders. "Making reservations of course." I gasped. "Natsu knows what to do on dates? I'm impressed." Natsu just rolled his eyes and bought me back to where the group was waiting.

~~Time Skip: Next Day 6:00~~

"Mira, stop squealing for the 7th time." I groan as Mira walked around my hotel room. She flung random shirts over her shoulder while squealing like a madman. "But Lucy. Natsu finally gets to go out with you."

"Because of you and your stupid raffle." I mumbled as I pick up a flowery  pink blouse and stuck out my tongue. "Please." Mirajane says back. "You wouldn't be this lucky if it wasn't for me." I rolled my eyes at her sass. "Let's just get this over with."

Lucy POV

I was waiting in the lobby of the hotel, tapping my red painted nails on the cushioned chair impatiently. My red dress was tight around my body and I was hoping to get this date over with to take it off. It was 7:45 and Natsu was supposed to meet me here at 7.

I picked up my purse and headed to the elevator. I pressed the button for up and moments later the door opened. I took a step forward but I didn't realize that someone was in front of me.

"Oof!" The impact made me stumble and fall flat on my butt. I rubbed the sore flesh and looked up to see a hand reaching toward me. A handsome face stared at me and his light brown hair fell forward in front of his soft eyes.

I felt my face grow hot as I reached to grab his hand. He pulled me up for me to stand up straight. "I am so sorry!" The guy said as I dusted myself off. "No. It's my fault. I wasn't looking." I said back, not wanting the guy to feel bad.

"But at least let me get you a quick drink at the bar around the corner." He pleaded me. (I know over reacting just because he bumped into Lucy but you know Fairy Tail. Over exaggerating is their middle name).

I wanted to decline but the look on his face made me agree. I sighed. "Lead the way." He smiled and stuck out his hand for me to shake. "I'm Mako by the way." I took his hand and shook it. "I'm Lucy." He smiled and led me out the door of the hotel.

The walk to the bar was awkward. I kept on thinking about what will happen if Natsu shows up and he doesn't see me in the lobby. Mako did say it was a quick drink at the bar and we would be right back. But what if I lost track of time? Mira would surely kill me!

"Lucy?" Mako's worried voice broke me out of my thinking. "Sorry." I smiled. "Just spacing out." Mako smiled back. "Anyways, we're here." He led me into the bar and the waitress there led us to a table. I ordered a lemon water while Mako got a beer.

We made little conversation during the wait. I told him a little of me and he told me a little of him. I learned that he also lived in Magnolia and he was here enjoying the festival. He owns the book store that Levy loves to go to. When our beverages came, our conversations became more comfortable and before I knew I it already past an hour.

"So I had a good time." I said after he dropped me off at the hotel entrance. "My pleasure." Mako said. He looked like he was about to say something else so I said, "Do you want to say something?" He looked hesitant but he managed to say, "Do want to go out with me sometimes?"

I was shocked by his statement but I kept it together. I opened my mouth to speak but was cut off by someone throwing their arm over my shoulder and saying, "I'm sorry dude, but your asking out my girl and that will be the worst mistake in your life."
