Chapter 1

Evelyn's POV

Me and my friends were at the roller skating rink. Well, most of my friends. Logan, Katherine, and Noel were here. Gabriella ditched us for her boyfriend Luke. Oh wait, let me rephrase that. Her friend Luke. She tells us that they have no interest in each other, but we all know what they really do when they're alone. (wink wink)

My phone lit up once again. It's another text from Gabby.

Gabriella: there was a change of plans. I'm walking into the rink rn

We saw her and walked over to her. "Hey, I'm glad you actually came!" Katherine said, smiling. Why was she acting so nice? She knows we were all pissed earlier when Gabby cancelled on us. Even though she cancelled on us for the Luke Hemmings. Yup.

"Me too." Gabriella said smiling. But she didn't really look like she wanted to be here.

"Let's go get our roller skates." Logan said. Katherine and Gabby started having small talk and walked ahead of us.

"Logan, why are we even here?" I asked him.

"Because it's fun, you stupid bitch." He said to me.

"Damn okay then. Don't laugh at me when I fall on my ass though." I warned him.

"Kay. Hey Noel why are you so quiet?" Logan asked her. She hasn't talked the whole time we've been here, actually.

"...Huh? Oh, sorry um... Is that Niall Horan over there?" She said with wide eyes. I turned to see what she'd been so distracted by.

"Holy fuck. It is him." I said, shaking. That was definitely Niall. I could hear his laugh from across the room.

"SHIT!!! THAT'S NIALL HORAN OVER THERE OH MY GOD!" Logan screamed. Tons of people turned their heads, including Niall. He looked around and no one seemed to care. No directioners were here tonight, I guess.

"What the hell, Logan?" I asked him punching his shoulder.

Logan was laughing. "Hey Noel, are you gonna go talk to him?" Katherine said, listening to our conversation.

Noel blushed. "N-no... Of course not. W-why would I do t-that?" She stuttered.

"Ooh!!! Noel you totally like him!" Logan said.

"Yeah no shit, Logan. He's a famous singer from One Direction. How can she not like him? She's been obsessed with him for years." I said. Rolling my eyes, laughing.

"Why is he even here?" Noel asked. "Does this have anything to do with you and Luke, Gabby?" Noel questioned.

Gabriella turned around. "Um... No... How would I know Niall??? Just because I know Luke doesn't mean I know Niall... Or anyone in One Direction..." Gabriella said nervously. Something was definitely up with her.

"God, Gabby, I wish you did know One Direction. I'm so in love with Harry it hurts. Hey Noel, why don't you go get Niall's number so you can hook me up with Harry after you and Niall get together?" I said, winking at Noel. Gabriella glared at me. I don't think she thought I noticed that, but I did.

"No! Niall would never like me anyways..." Noel said, blushing once again. What a shy little bitch. I smiled at her. I grabbed her hand and raised it in the air.

"HEY NIALL! THIS GIRL, YEAH, THIS GIRL RIGHT HERE, LOVES YOU!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. Niall turned and looked at Noel. He blushed too.

"Oh my god, Noel, he's totally into you!!!" Katherine said.

Noel glared at me. "Why would you do that?!?" She looked at me, embarrassed. I laughed. "Hey, you know I love you. Maybe you'll thank me later." I said to her.

Gabriella got a text. She looked at us. "Oh, guys... Sorry but I have to leave. I'll text you later."

   "What the hell?" Logan said, while Gabby was walking away.

   I can't believe she would just leave us like that. No, that's not fair, she can't do that to her friends. I'm going after her. I ran outside to see someone kiss Gabby on the cheek.

   "What the fuck Gabby? You're leaving us to cheat on Luke?" I yelled.

   The person turned around. It was Harry Styles. He looked at me and his eyes widened. He blushed.

   I couldn't help the tears stream down my face. God, Gabriella just has to have everything I want, doesn't she?

   "Me and Luke aren't even dating." Gabriella said.

   "No. No. You know how much you mean to Luke. I can't believe you would do this to him. And I can't believe you would do this to me." I said, still crying. I probably looked so stupid.

   "Evelyn, look I'm sorry, but you don't even know Harry like I do." Gabriella said, making the situation way more awkward.

   "But you don't love him like I do." I said, staring at him one last time. He looked so beautiful. I'll probably regret saying this later, but I already know that Gabby probably already has him under her spell. He won't care about me.

   Harry probably feels so uncomfortable. This is not the way I wanted to meet him. I'm just gonna leave. I look at Gabriella one last time, still trying to take in that this is actually happening.

   I turn around and run inside. I see Noel talking to Niall and laughing. I would be so happy for her right now if it weren't for what had just happened outside. I grab my jacket and my purse and see that they're all staring at me with wide eyes.

   "Woah, Evelyn, what happened out there?" Katherine asked me, eyes filled with concern. They were all probably wondering the same thing. Even Niall Horan, who I don't even know.

   I didn't reply. I just sobbed and ran out. I got into my car and drove home. I could hear my phone receiving text messages the whole drive home.

   I got home and locked the door. I ran to my room. Still crying. God, when will this stop? I unlock my phone. Seeing that I have 164 new text messages.

   I am not gonna read those. I delete them all before I can read them, but I saw one before they all disappeared.

Logan: gabby , what the fuck did you do ?
