The Slenderman had found himself in quite a predicament. There was a six year old clutching tightly onto his left hand, he was walking through the forest with said child, talking about her family and herself, and Slender was enjoying it.

Erica was an only child, her only other living relatives - an Aunt and Uncle - had 'Gone to stay with Grandpa and Nanny with the Angels' - Which meant that Slender had just made dear Erica an Orphan, the thought of her being an Orphan didn't phase him, it was the thought of where she would be going now that made him think.

What was going to happen to her? Slender couldn't keep her, he was refraining from killing her as they walked together. It was in his nature to kill, he was the Hunter, the Feared One. He was Fear, personified, and he most certainly was not built to care for human children. It was going against everything he knew. He supposed he could just Slender-Walk her to the closest house and leave her on the doorstep, but he didn't want her to end up at some psycopaths house - funny thought coming from a child murderer.

He was pulled from his thoughts of where Erica would be going when the object of his internal discussion pulled lightly on his hand, he shrunk himself down once again until he reached six feet before kneeling in the debris - she really was a small child. She looked towards the ground as she spoke. "Slender, do you think Mommy and Daddy left without me?" Slender was surprised at the acceptance in the small childs voice, she sounded far older than her years.

Slender quickly recovered from the slight shock of hearing her talk like that and - pushing down his hunger - he slowly extended his hand, placing his pale fingers under her chin he lifted her face up to look at him, "Erica, has Mommy and Daddy ever left you alone before?" The childs eyebrows drew together in a frown as she slowly nodded.

"I thought that was okay. Mommy always said it was okay..." Slender felt an abrubt surge of hate for those humans that did this to Erica, he was glad they were dead. Taking a deep breath through his teeth, Slender smiled his pointy-toothed smile at the child in front of him. She looked ashamed, as though it was her fault that her parents weren't fit for the title.

"It's not your fault, Erica, Mommy shouldn't have told you that, but it is not your fault." Erica smiled at Slender as he dropped his hand from her face and began walking again, taking her smaller hand in his slender one. His stomach was telling him this was not the time to be talking. He needed to drop her off somewhere.

But where?
