Diana walked into her office while applying pressure to the bridge of her nose and walked straight into her door. "I fucking hate these glass doors with all my heart." She commented to herself. "Having a bad day already?" Steve asked her. She was startled because she forgot about him, the whole day she was thinking about her training and her powers. She looked at the time and seen that she left him alone in her office for five hours. "I am terribly sorry that I left you alone for so long, I just got a notice that I am not going to be on any missions for a while because I'm going back to training captain." She admitted taking off her blazer and sinking into her chair. "Why do you need training? You kicked my ass back when I woke up." He asked trying to comfort her. Then she thought, "You are exactly why I need to train, if you never woke up then I would be perfectly fine." But she just smiled. "Well lets go shopping for some clothes for you." She said getting up and pushing him out her office, she needed to get out of HQ.
They first walked into Macys to see the dress shirts and some formal pants, but Steve isn't a formal kind of guy. "I don't feel like myself in these clothes." He said coming out of the fitting room wearing a red dress shirt with black dress pants and a black men's blazer. Diana let out a laugh because his clothes reminded her of Tony Stark and he is far from Tony. "Let's get you out of that please, you look like Stark!" she said laughing. They sat in the food court eating pizza from an Italian restaurant as Diana analyzed his personality and ego to find a store perfect for him. "I think I know a perfect place to get you some clothing." Diana said after they threw their trash out. "Where?" he asked as he followed her to a huge store. "Old Navy, it is a store for simple men and woman and they have a sale!" She said throwing her hand in the air pointing at the blue and white sign. She grabbed him some straight leg jeans in black blue and kaki to try on and went to find him some shirts. "I like these better than the shirts at the other stores." He said looking at a blue and white collared plaid button up shirt. "Try it on! I have a few simple white tees here in my hand but I need you to try these on to see how they really fit." Diana said grabbing the shirt and heading to the fitting rooms. He stopped and looked at a white fitted flare dress with pearl and gold embroidery on the top and a low cut on the back. "I think you would look great in this dress Diana" he said looking back at her. She furrowed her eyebrows a little and then smiled "Why, would I look stunning in this dress, the dress itself is beautiful but I have nowhere to wear it too and plus I don't look good in dresses." She said hoping he would agree and drop the conversation. "At least try it on, and maybe you may find yourself in love with it." He said to her giving her the last dress on the rack.
They both went inside the fitting rooms next to each other, Diana sighed looking at the dress. In her mind she already thought it would look ugly, not because of the dress but because of herself; she thought of herself as an unattractive person. She pulled the dress over herself and it was a perfect fit, she looked up at the mirror and couldn't believe it, she looked pretty for once she thought. Diana walked out of the fitting room and called on Steve, he was taken back by the dress because he had only seen her wear dark clothing and this dress made her luminous. He shook it off and looked at his feet, "I like it." He said. Diana smiled, for once in her life she felt good about herself. They went to the cash register and bought the clothing which included, I set of six white men tees, four plaid button up shirts, two pairs of pants in kaki, black, blue jeans, a black hoodie, and a jean jacket with fleece lining, a brown leather jacket, and the white dress. "I will pay you back for this Diana." Steve said feeling bad for letting her pay for it. "It is okay, I know how it feels to have nothing and to one day lose everything and having to start all over. And shield pays very well, especially when you are a special agent like me." Diana said trying to comfort him. "I will get a job soon." Steve said more to himself then to Diana. "Well that offer from shield should still be up. Isn't saving people your thing?" she said hoping to get a reaction out of him.
