Diana woke up at six in the morning to pans hitting the floor; she must have gone to sleep late to sleep through five in the morning. She had a routine, wake up at five, run a couple laps, shower, go to HQ and eat breakfast (coffee) there. She quickly changed into her volleyball shorts and a Star Wars tee then tried putting her black hair into a pony tail but her thick hair broke her last hair tie. "Great, now I have to go out there with this curly, frizzy mess!" Diana thought loudly in her head. She walked out and smelled bacon and pancakes, then turned to see Steve cooking. "I thought since you are letting me stay in your home for the time, I could at least make you something to eat." He said looking back at her with wide eyes. "I know, my hair is a mess but don't worry I know for a fact that last time I was here I left a hair tie between these vases." Dana said trying to figure out with vases she put it between. Steve looked at her search through the whole house for one and found it rather adorable. "Why don't you keep them in one place?" He asked her. She turned to him and walked towards the dinner table and found what she was looking for. "Because I try to do that but I always miss place at least one." She said putting her hair into a messy top bun. "You want orange juice or milk...or wine?" she says trying to add humor to our conversation.
Diana then went for a quick warm up run and took Steve along for the run because she didn't exactly trust him to be alone at her apartment. Her apartment is about five blocks from central park so they decided to run to the park and go around it once. Diana quickly realized that Steve was much faster than she anticipated, she was used to being the fastest that when Steve passed her twice she got a bit annoyed. "Really, you had to pass me twice." She complained as she tried to speed up her pace but she had no luck because he was just too fast and strong. She looked down at her digital watch and saw that it was time for her to go to work because she had a meeting in thirty minutes. "Come on super human, as much as I love to see you pass me; I've got work to attend." She said sarcastically. They walked up the street in silence until Diana realized that she would have to leave him alone in her house, and then she asked "What are you doing today?" He never thought about what he would do, everyone he knew was gone and he couldn't exactly get a job without someone finding out who he was. Diana saw the puzzled look on his face and felt bad, he had nowhere to go and the only person he knows is herself. "You can come with me; we have a gym if you want to use it and after we will go get you some new clothes because I don't want you staying in those forever." Diana said thinking some quality time will get him to trust her and once she has his trust she can convince him to join S.H.I.E.L.D. and her assignment is complete.
She showed him to her office and told him that if anyone asks him he a new recruit she assigned to. She fixed her pencil skit and threw on her blazer and walked into the meeting with Agent Coulson and Agent Hill. "Well look who decided to show up." Hill joked. Diana sighed and replied "Traffic is really bad in New York" as she looked up at Fury, who sighed in response and handed them a file. "Agent Hill knows about the Captain, but this is his file everything he ever did is there along with everyone he knows. Use this to your advantage and get to 'know' him Riggs." He said to Diana as she opened the file along with her other colleges. "Report your progress." Fury said hoping that she made some progress. "Well, it has been one day but so far this looks like his only option because all his friends are not alive and all he knows is war. With all that said I have not gained his complete trust but give me today and I will have him locked in." Diana replied hoping that he would be pleased with the report. "I give you two weeks." Fury said. "Excuse me sir, but he doesn't know anything about this generation. He is completely lost and I am his only door to this generation, it may take more than two weeks for him to be ready for any mission." She replied. Fury knew that she was right and that he needed to be educated before joining, "Okay Riggs, I give you four weeks and use the file to your advantage. Oh, and Riggs can you teach him about this generation." He said and dismissed the meeting. Diana got up to leave but then Fury said that he needed to talk to her privately. "You need to train, it is time Diana. You've been hiding yourself for too long." Fury said looking at her and saw flashes of fear. She was afraid of what will happen if hydra captured her, once they find out she isn't normal she will be the person of interest for them. Diana knew that Fury was serious when he used her first name but it was too risky. "I'm not sure." Diana responded looking down. "You will grow stronger if you practice your powers, no one will do anything to you. Riggs you took Captain by the horns and beat him up, you can do it." Fury said. Diana looked out the window and knew that he was right she needed to practice and train to control her abilities and how to fight using all of them. "Okay. When do I start?" Diana asked. "Tomorrow." He replied.
