You slam the back door open, tears streaming down your face. You haven't seen Calum for six months, haven't heard a word from him for three and today, your birthday, all you get is a text. "Sunrises or sunsets?". You fall backwards into the lounge on your patio. You lean forwards and put your face in your hands. You can't decide whether or not to answer his question. You sit there, silently crying, for a.few minutes before picking up your phone and texting back "Sunsets". Immediately you get a text back. "OK. Meet me at the park at 6:00". This only confuses you. The park? Who knows what's going through his head. You wait until six o'clock impatiently. When it finally comes you almost forget to lock the door, you're so excited. You quickly drive to the park that is ten minutes away from your apartment. You finally get there and what greets you is incredible. There are small lights lining the pathway to the gazebo in the centre of the park. The gazebo itself is draped with fairylights. And standing in the middle of it all was Calum in a tux. You suddenly feel self conscious in your ripped skinny jeans and baggy T-shirt. You run up the path to Calum, throwing your arms around him. You both stand there, hugging for what seemed like an eternity until he pulls away. You slap him."what was that for?" He asked. "Three months of nothing and then suddenly asking me a random question. That's what" you reply sternly. He looks down guiltily. "What is all this anyway?" You ask looking around. He suddenly grins and drops down on one knee. You roll your eyes. "Not funny Calum" you say, before gasping when he doesn't laugh and stand up but rather pulls out a box, opening it to reveal a ring. A tear escapes from your eye as you stare down at this beautiful boy in front of you. "Y/n, will you spend the rest of your life with me as my wife?" He asks. You nod, speechless. He slips the ring onto your finger, standing slowly. As soon as the ring is on you kiss him deeply. The sun sets behind you and your fiancé as you kiss in the gazebo. The clouds in the sky are replaced with stars. You're the happiest you've ever been.
