Summoning the Great Union: A new front

Chapter 26- The Mirishial Delegation

Gra Valkas Empire, Information Bureau

In a dimly-lit room, the noise of beeping, similar to Morse code, permeated the air. Next to that room, there was a nicer room decorated in brown. A man had come to that second room to make a report to his superior—he knocked on the door.

"Enter," came a deep voice from within the room. The man did as ordered.

"Your Excellency, we've completed the comprehensive analysis of The Vespechann Union's military capabilities. I've come to request your approval for this report."

The man handed over the documents. While his superior read the report, the man provided a verbal summary as well.

"Unfortunately, we have little information on This Union at the moment, and extend our apologies. The personnel gathering information on the Naval Battle of Fenn did not report back in time. Same regarding the Battle of Altarus—we did not expect them to island hop like that. In addition, it's very hard to enter the Kingdom of Altarus, and our operatives were unable to witness the main battle. With regards to the main war, The Union has made peace with the superpower of the Third Civilization, the Papaldia Empire. In other words, it appears that they lack the national power to take over the empire themselves. We believe there's a high possibility they planted some kind of flimsy diplomatic contingency in order to quell future aggression towards their country.

"The Union has a population of five hundred million people. This is extremely large especially with the size of their country; They are mainly self-sufficient but needs a constant trade of food supplies with neighboring countries to supply a small portion of their population. If The Union and the empire were to clash in the future, our dominant maritime forces would just need to set up a blockade between The Union and Rodenius, and we could starve out some of their citizens. We've confirmed that The Union has heavy cruiser-class warships, and we have found some battleships. We heard this via a third country, but, aside from aircraft carriers, their largest ships are around the fifty thousand ton-class."

The man paused for a breath then continued.

"Their confirmed gun size for their battleships is around 16-inches, though still unconfirmed, they have battleships of larger caliber and tonnage. There are also rumors swirling that they have battleships with 18-inch guns but it is highly unlikely. Regardless, they're still very threatening to the barbarians of this world. Next, The Union's ground forces number somewhere, around 500,000 to a million, which is under what our country can muster. Perhaps this is the reason why they sent a "Peacekeeping force" instead of a full fledged army, because of stretched supply lines. They also have a large airforce numbering from a thousand to roughly two thousand five hundred, though the numbers are also largely unconfirmed."

"......I see. We may need to be more careful, they are definitely much more powerful than the Holy Mirishial Empire, however, they might not be much of a concern to us. Our overwhelming production capabilities and superior technology is simply unbeatable."

"Yes, there's nothing to fear from The Union. No one can stop our conquest."

In order to establish a new world order, the Gra Valkas Empire began to move.

"All right, let us be off."

The Holy Mirishial Empire, said to be the strongest country in the world, and the largest superpower, was sending an advance delegation in order to invite The Union to the 11-country leadership conference as well as begin preparations for diplomatic negotiations. They were heading east, far past the Third Civilization, to a country outside the civilized areas.
