Chapter Six (Kean on Multimedia; SMROOKIE's Jaehyun)
"Parang pang-apat na tao na yata yung nakain mo ha?"
"What?" I am seriously in shock.
"Kist, don't worry, marami pa naman dito. Sige, kumain ka pa,"she adds. Napababa ko yung kutsara at tinidor sa pinggan ko. "Manang, I need to go," I said at tumayo na.
"Okay. Enjoy your day anak. Happy Birthday."
"Thanks."

"WHAT?! YOU SPEND YOUR NIGHT WITH SOMEONE?! WHAT THE HELL!" Lee blurted out. We spend our lunch break here in the soccer field. Good to say na wala masyadong tao dito sa bleachers kaya walang nakarinig sa sigaw niya.
"I did. Pwede bang tumahimik ka muna. We're drunk at the same place Lee," I said, not keeping an eye contact with her.
"Kist, sino bang hindi magfe-freak out? Anong we're drunk at the same place? Unang-una, hindi kasalanan ng alak yan. You two know what you're doing in that certain time so don't blame the alcohol. Pwede naman kasing tawagan ako diba? You are stressing me." she claimed.
"Why did I stress you out?" I said calmly.
"Because you risked your life, your future Kist. You might get pregnant," she said. Oh, she cares so much.
"I hope not," I said.
"We do, Kist," and she smiles at me. "What indulge you to do that thing Kist?" she asked.
"My Dad. We argued that night and me being a rebel in his sight," I sighed.
"Hay naku, you're so tough in front of your Dad but then, you look like a cat whenever we talk. Kist, ayusin niyo na yan mag-ama," she said.
"Paging all the graduating students, you're all requested to gather yourselves at the hall for your graduation practice. Thank You."
"I'm not going," I said.
"Why not?" I know it's not Lee who's talking. It's our principal. Dad's ex-wife. "Aylee, can I talk to my daughter?" she asked.
"Sure thing," Lee said. "Kist, I'll see you at the hall," she winks. Please Lee, don't leave me with this witch. She then sets off. Oh.
"Here," he handed me a pink rectangular box. "Happy Birthday, baby."
"Thanks, but no thanks," I stood up.
"Kist wait," she asked.
"I don't have something to tell you," I said.
"Your Dad told me," she said. My temper is rising. Fudge. What's wrong with this woman?
"So? Big deal? Say what you want to say," I ordered.
"Yes it is, a big deal. You are a big deal. You really are a big deal. Please, compose yourself. You're all grown up now so forget about your dark days before and look forward for your future. Your father said you resent me so so much and I can't blame you with that. I missed you calling me Mom but I don't think I could hear that again because you used to call me 'dad's ex-wife', 'stupid brat' and 'bitch' now. It's fine with me. It's all my fault though but please Kist, don't lock your heart in past, I'm begging you. You're too young, baby so please let your heart enjoy. Happy 22nd birthday," I saw her was about to walk.
"Mom," I call and saw her tears streaming down. "Is that what you expect me to call you?! Well, you're so wrong, completely wrong. I can't bear calling you that. The word itself doesn't suits you because 'dad's stupid ex-wife' suits you really well. At isa pa, ikaw na mismo ang nagsabi na hindi ka na babalik, ba't hanggang ngayon nakabunton ka pa rin sa buhay namin?" I collect my things. "Thanks for the gift anyway."
I walked out. Bakit palagi nalang taon taong ganito? Birthday ko at puro nalang sumbatan ang nakukuha ko. As I walk through the dark side of the bleachers, someone blocks me with his foot. Oh God, that made me sit on the cemented floor. Ouch, that hurts. So much. I looked up to see a man wearing a cap, sitting coolly. Such a brat.
"Isn't it too rude for your own mother to say things like that, Miss?" he said. Hah, as if he knew everything.
"Isn't it rude to block someone like that? Who the hell are you?!" I shouted and got my feet on the floor.
"You'll be shock if you'll know me now," he smirks.
"What? Don't give shi*," I exclaimed.
"I'm not giving you a shi* because I'm you—"
"KEAN!"
