"I've met someone."

As it turns out having lunch with one of my favorite people in the world can do wonders for my broken heart. Paz's dad has always been special to me, not only because he practically raised me but also because he's one of the few people who actually understand me.

"You have? That's great honey; I thought you had given up on love. But I'm glad you didn't, life isn't as much fun without a little love in it," Harrison says to me, a warm smile on his face. "And when do I get to meet this young man who has captured my Lara's heart?"

"Soon, I hope. I'm actually looking forward for you meeting him. I think you'll really get along. Harry likes cars almost as much as you."

He chuckles. "Oh? What car does he own?"

"The funny thing is that he doesn't actually have a car, but he does fix cars for a living."

One the things I love the most about this guy is that he doesn't judge unlike my mother and my sister who instantly thought Harry wasn't right for me just because he doesn't make a lot of money. But not Harrison, he actually smiles proudly that I've found someone no matter what his job is, he just cares that I'm happy.

"It's good to see you smile this much, honey. And if he's the reason for your smile then I can't wait to meet him."

He does meet Harry a couple of days later and they hit it off right away. They talk for hours and Harrison's wife really enjoyed Scott's cheeky comments as much as I do. Before we went to sleep that night Harry asked if Harrison was the guy to ask for my hand in marriage when the time came.

I smiled and said yes.

I've avoided this moment for so long but one day it had to happen. I know that Harry is different and I do trust him, but I'm so damn scared of losing him. Every guy I've ever dated has left me for my best friend and here I am hoping Harry is the one exception to the rule.

No matter how much I tried to avoid this it had to happen, Paz and Harry had to meet eventually.

"I don't know why it took so long for us to meet. I mean I am her best friend after all," Paz says sweetly and hugs Harry for longer and tighter than I would've liked. "You have really nice eyes, Harry."

He looks confused for a second before thanking her. God I hope it hasn't started yet, I hope he isn't falling for her.

Paz goes to greet Scott and Harry grabs my hand making me realize that I'm shaking. "What's wrong, Baby?"

"I'm just scared," I admit to him in a whisper.

"Of what?"

"Losing you."

Harry catches me off guard by kissing me on the mouth. And just as quick as he had put his lips on mine they were gone. "You'll never lose me."

"C'mon Harry stop kissing the pretty girl," Scott whines making the both of us laugh.

"You think Lara's pretty, huh? What about me, am I pretty?" Paz asks the little boy.

"Yes, but not as pretty as Lara. She's like the prettiest girl in the world."

She looks surprised at his answer, like she was expecting something else. "Is she now?"

"She is," Harry confirms, placing a kiss on my forehead.
