Amanda's POV
"Hey Amanda, think fast." My friend Grant yelled from the end of the school hallway as he threw a full size football towards me. Knowing my quick instincts, i dropped my books that i was holding and caught the ball easily hugging it to my chest.
The smile i had on soon was gone when i looked down to see the mess I've made. "Ugh, fuck you Grant, see what you made me do?" I threw the football back to Grant and he laughed while I groaned, bending down to pick up my books and papers. The papers were scattered everywhere and he ran over to where I was to help me pick them up.
"Sorry Amanda, just trying to get you ready for the BIG football game tonight." Grant chuckled as he stacked my papers together before handing them to me in a messy pile.
"I'm already ready dumb ass, i'm basically better than you." I jokingly said. "Okay, OUCH." Grant said as he pretended to be hurt by crossing his hands onto his heart. It was true though, i think everyone on our team was better than Grant, after all i AM the star quarterback of our team. Weird since i'm a girl right? no, not at all.
"Whatever Mrs. Toughy, i'll see you after school." Grant winked at me before he walked away to his class.
It was funny how Grant and I use to date before back then when i first came to this school. Yeah those 2 months where great. (note the sarcasm) I broke up with him after i told him i got accepted in the football team. I told him that i don't want my football to affect our relationship. But on the inside, i thought he was a dork. I don't have much to say about my love life story. I only had like 2 boyfriends, but they weren't that special and we weren't that serious. It was kind of a "Hug/kisses on the cheek" type of relationship. Stupid right?

~during class~
My first class of the day was Earth Science. As for what I like to call it, "Shit we will never need in real life". My teacher was a chill person. She doesn't really give a crap about what people do. You can be on your phone and she wouldn't care. That's the only thing i like about her. But the way she talks, it makes me want to slam a toddler's head into a wall continuously. Its so squeaky and high it makes me gag to this day.
"Hello class, today we have a new student, his name is Shawn, i expect each and one of you to be kind to him and to make him feel welcomed." the annoying perky voice said, interrupting my thoughts.
"Shawn, please come up to the front of the class and introduce yourself" My teacher said. I heard shuffling coming from the back of me and Shawn walked to the front of the room. I was deeply appalled by his looks. I expected some doofus looking dude with big glasses and braces and an annoying nerd voice. But Shawn was completely different from what I had in mind. He was very fit i must say, he was like 6 feet tall and he had nice brown eyes and he was VERY toned. And his face...he was good looking i guess.
"Hi um, Im Shawn Mendes, i'm from Toronto, Canada and i like to play Ice hockey and I like to sing." He said quickly before walking back to his seat in the back. I turned to the boy from Toronto and decided to try to make a conversation with him.
"So, you like hockey huh?" i said, trying to make a decent conversation.
"Yeah." He said quietly, too quietly almost. It was obvious that he was too shy to talk to me so i just nodded my head and turned back to my seat.
"Whats, um your um, name?" He said from behind me.
"Amanda." I said to him. I shook my hands with him and he gave me a small smile.
"Im Shawn, Shawn Mendes." He said. Well no shit you just announced it to the freaking class. I thought to myself.
"I know." I chuckled awkwardly. Then the bell rang for second bell. Save by the bell much?
"Well see yah around Canadian." I said before picking up my books and then quickly walking out to class to get to second bell.
