I am alone in my house, not a peep to be heard. BA BOOM BA BOOM! Thunder has hit for the third time tonight and hail is bucketing. I turn on the TV but no channels are working.
'Must be the storm' I think. I change to HDMI and turn on the PlayStation, because hey why not? I start to play Fifa when the game freezes. I go and tap the screen but when I do it goes black. "Great a power outage!" I yell sarcastically. The screen starts fuzzing and a figure slowly forms, next to it the words run...

I bolt down the hallway and into my room, pull out a baseball bat.
I am to scared to go back out so I get into a drawer. I hear footsteps approaching the door, now on the carpet. My heart is beating so hard you can hear it from space. He opens the drawer above me, I hear him reach for my drawer but I guess my weight is too much as the drawer chest collapses onto him. I grab a pair of pants from the drawer I am in and punch through the very thin layer of wood at the back of the chest and climb out. I hear him moan and try to reach for his gun but I kick it into his head and he is out cold.
I call the police and they arrest the man. "And that is my narrative piece, thank you!" I sit back at my seat waiting for my mark. The paper comes back to me with a big D on it, oops wrong side, I'm looking at the paper correctly now and see an A+! I guess my work paid off...
