September 9th, 2031 was the day that babies came into this world with art on their skin. It was an international phenomenon, but by the end of the year, the hype died down and research into why this was happening was in full swing.
It seemed that the genetic makeup of the human race had sensed a change in peoples skin. The majority of the population had some sort of ink. The pain of tattoos was natural now, and the human body was adapting to this. The ink had embedded itself not only into our skin, but into our genes, and that was passed onto our children. Day by day, tattoos were appearing on everyone's skin, young and old. All the pain of each single pin prick happened at once, and each person was becoming gifted with their own individualized art.
Some say it is a blessing.
Some say it is a curse.
These tattoos have become the human races guide to their destiny...
