Ring...ring...ring!
"Okay class is dismissed! Don't forget to do your homework too!" Mr. Gildart's yelled out as all the students filed out of the room.
It was lunch time so everyone was excited to finally eat after so many painful hours of sitting through boring lessons and lectures.
Even though Juvia was starving she wasn't happy about having to face her friends.
Maybe I could go to the library and later say I wanted to finish the butt load of homework that I had received in my classes, Juvia thought to herself as she trudged out of class to the lunchroom.
After thinking it through Juvia finally concluded that she should just go to her friends and talk the issue through with them. Though... the only problem was that she didn't know how to approach the situation. Was she supposed to approach her friends with a smile on her face or a poker face. This was going to be difficult she concluded as she entered the lunch room with her lunch clutched tightly in her hand. Juvia quickly spotted her friends lunch table.
Oh good, it was only Lucy so far. Oh wait there's Natsu... Juvia thought as she sighed to herself. Slowly she walked over hoping that no one else would arrive. Especially Gray. That would end up in a mess of tears and screaming. Lots of it. Then the whole school would be staring and watching.
"Um, h-hi Lucy. Natsu," Juvia greeted as she cautiously sat down at the table.
"Hi Juvia," Lucy replied as if nothing happened earlier during the day. Natsu just nodded in her direction.
Okay, maybe this isn't going to go so bad, Juvia thought. Slowly everyone arrived filling in all the seats. Only one seat remained empty. Just by luck it was by Juvia. Only problem was that it was Gray who wasn't there yet. Yep, just by luck...
"I wonder where Gray is," Erza voiced out loud as if reading Juvia's thoughts. "Huh," she sighed as she turned to lean on Jellal's shoulder. He turned his head a bit and looked at her. He wasn't one to show to much emotion, but it was evident in his eyes that he cared for Erza dearly. Juvia wanted someone to look at her like that. Bora looked at her like that. At least, thats what his friends told her when she hung out with them. They always said how lucky she was to be dating him. Apparently every girl in his school was dying to. Suddenly a flash went off. Everyone turned to stare at Levy.
"What?" She asked. "Its cute. Also its for my photo album of everyone."
"What photo album?" Juvia asked in confusion glancing at everyone at the table.
"You would know about it if you had gone with us to hang out more often," a voice sneered. Juvia turned to look not surprised that it was Gray who had made the remark. Unsurprisingly Gray's girlfriend was also by his side walking over. The one and only Ultear Milkovich. She was a decent girl, kind of snobbish. All things considered her parents were rich.
"You know Gray, you don't have to be so cold to her," Lucy huffed.
"That is his specialty," Juvia mumbled under her breath. Natsu snorted.
"Whatever," Gray grumbled as he rolled his eyes.
"Its okay Gray," Ultear cooed as she cuddled against his arm. He turned to smile at her. At this action Juvia felt hurt. Gray rarely smiled at her anymore. Even if he did it never seemed to reach his eyes.
"U-um about that," Juvia croaked which caused Gray to look at her. "W-well I was thinking that m-maybe I could go with you guys to the next place you all were planning to go," Juvia exclaimed. "T-to make up for the times I wasn't there," Juvia finished.
