Sandra's pov.

I woke up bright and early the next morning to meet with the hunter. I made sure nobody else saw me when I snuck out and proceeded to walk through the beautiful green grass until I approached the tall trees that smelled better in the morning for some reason. I was waiting for about 10 minutes till I realized I might as well have come here anytime as we didn't set up a time at all. I began to walk back before I heard a whoosh and a thump and saw the Hunter staring at me with a serious face.

"Leaving so soon?" He questioned, his face breaking into a sly smirk.

"Can we cut the chit chat and get straight to the important stuff." I insisted.

"Yeah, whatever. So I'm sure you're wondering about your brother, don't worry he's fine. He's just under weird circumstances right now." He told me.

" And by weird circumstances you mean....." I trailed off so he could add his part.

"He's joined the rebellion is all..." his voice faltered and for a split second I swore he looked like he was actually trying to help me figure stuff out and not just be a douche.

"Excuse me?" I didn't know what the rebellion was but it didn't sound good.

"Why don't we sit down and I'll explain it to you." He said climbing up at tree and sitting on the branch. I tried welding the tree to make cracks and branches where my foot could go when I was off I know I heard The Hunter whisper "showoff". I was gonna say something back but decided this wasn't the time.

He explained to me that the rebellion was a group of Elements and Hunters trying to reclaim the land Humans had stole from us and inhabited. My brother had joined as he was tired of Humans ruining their air supply and wanted to take a stand against it. Magnus the hunter guy said the rebellion was run by a retired hunter that had always hated humans since he became a Hunter.

"That's a whole lot of BS." I said after he was done explaining.

"W-what?" He stuttered

"The rebellion thing is stupid, just because you're pissed at humanity for ruining something fighting them is not the way to go. We have to find a way to stop this stupid rebellion. Sure the humans may destroy a lot but what's the point of having powers if you can't save those who need it. We're superheroes honestly and right now we're fighting ourselves because the people we save were born a little more oblivious than most, but hey if they want a war let's give it to them ourselves." I said. I could feel his stone grey eyes staring straight at me in awe. I stared back at him and he looked pretty shocked.

"I never looked at it like that," He said still staring at me as if what I said was like the first leaf falling off a tree in autumn, the first step in the event of change. "Wait you said we."

"What? Oh yeah I meant like a general we as in like all the people against the rebellion um yeah not just you and me i mean we would obviously work together cuz like I mean we would be on the same side unless you're in the rebellion in which case we wouldn't but um yeah...." I blabbered on with utter awkwardness.

I could hear him chuckling beside me as my cheeks blazed in a color of deep red. "So I guess if we're gonna be doing this together we're gonna need a team." He said when his laughing subsided.

"Um yeah I guess so," I said. "I mean I know a few people that may be willing to help."

"By people do you mean your one red headed friend, yeah I'm sure she'll be tons of help." He said sarcastically.

" Hey Claire would actually be a lot of help, and I have more than one friend." I lied. Claire was really my only friend all the other Elements were just people I was forced to live with.

"If you're considering me one of them, don't. Just to make things clear we aren't friends we'll simply work with eachother till all this is over and we can go back to the shit we were doing before." He said and with every word the mood got more and more depressing.

"Ok one I was never considering you as my friend, two that language is bad don't use it," he laughed at me when I said the second, thing but I continued to talk. "And three, I don't here you coming up with any other good ideas about this rebelling against the rebellion stuff so don't ride on mine."

"Yeah whatever Miss. Priss, same time tomorrow I guess," He said jumping from the tree and landing perfectly on his feet. "Oh and bring your 'friends'."

And before I could even get down he was gone. "How the heck does he do that?" I mumbled to myself. I got down from the tree branch and began to walk back to the Element house. It was almost afternoon and the song was a beautiful golden orb in the sky. When I made it back I watched as the natural light changed to the artifical light we have to take in underground.

I finally made it to the Earth house as of course ours has to be at the very end of the hall and plopped myself down next to Claire who was sitting reading a book with what looked like a tomato on it. She looked up at me and smiled.

"Where have you been all day?" She asked me with a twinge of annoyance in her eyes, telling me they did boring things all morning.

"Um nothing I was just you know around and stuff." I said. Her freckled face instantly turned into a frown.

" Around and stuff, yeah ok Sandra." She said staring back down at her book.

After a few minutes of awkward silence I spoke up. "Hey Claire?" I asked trying to get her attention. She hummed back as if saying 'what' and I proceeded to speak again.

"How do you feel about war?" I asked her calmly. That got her attention because her she was staring at me with wide eyes.

"What the heck did you do?" Claire questioned.
