I made my way home after the oddest first day at school. I was happy though. I was pleased with myself for at least making one friend. I guess you could say that it was kind of odd that we kissed the first time we met. I smiled to myself. His lips were tender and soft and tasted like white chocolate.

"How was school my little Dime" my brother called out. It was my nickname. Dite was short for Aphrodite but he insists on calling me Dime because it is "cute". Annoying. "are you making dinner or are we going out for some food?" I called out to my brother.

"WELL, since you insisted that you wanted to take a look around the neighborhood, I actually took it upon myself to check out the area for restaurants around. We should celebrate for moving in and take this opportunity for you to look around. You're in luck because there's a restaurant a few roads down that serves amazing Italian food." My eyes lighted up upon hearing Italian food. I loved Italian food. Spaghetti, bruschetta, pizza, risotto and what not. My stomach was grumbling. I got dressed in a simple black bodycon dress that covered in all the right areas. It was sleeveless and stopped about 2 inches above my knee. I loved the dress but I didn't get too many occasions to wear it. I completed the look with some black pumps with elongated my legs and a bracelet that my mom had left me. It was silver with 5 charms. It had a seashell, a seahorse, treasure chest and a dolphin. The last was a blue stone. I wasn't sure what it was made of but it could change its shade of blue. I wasn't sure why or when it does but I am determined to find out. I walked down the stairs into the living room to find my brother was already waiting for me. "Woa hey there handsome, I almost couldn't recognize you" I teased him. I hated to admit it but he did look good. Must be the family genes. He was the complete opposite of me. His hair was blonde, almost metallic blonde and his eyes were the lightest shade of blue. He was wearing a short sleeved white button up shirt with black buttons which showed his strong arms. He paired his shirt with a pair of black pants and a pair of black Cambridge shoes.

"You don't look so bad yourself sis." He smiled at me. I took him by the hand and strolled to the restaurant. I took in the beauty of the neighborhood. It was autumn but it wasn't too cold to walk to the restaurants. The trees swayed as the wind hit its leaves. I could hear the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach as we walked down the pathway. The wind was starting to make me feel a little chilly so I clung onto my brother's arm so that I could feel a little warmer. Thankfully the restaurant was nearby and soon enough we arrived. As my brother opened the door for me, the warm air hit my skin which caused goosebumps to form on my skin. I welcomed the warmth and quickly entered the restaurant. The restaurant had a vintage feel to it with a modern touch and I loved it. I also welcomed the woodsy scent that came along with it. The smell from the kitchen made my stomach grumble. My brother and I were escorted to our seats in the middle of the restaurant below a beautiful chandelier which gave the restaurant a magical and surreal feel. I let my brother order the food for me. I wanted to be surprised. The waitress served us some wine before returning to the kitchen. The first round of food arrived and sure enough, Bruschetta! I smiled knowingly at my brother. He returned the smile and we toasted. "to a new life" we said in union. The rest of the food soon arrived. Lasagna as main dish and Tiramisu as dessert. I ate everything not leaving a single crumble behind. I was on cloud nine. "Whoa hey there, take it slow okay. We don't want you choking on the food" my brother teased. "Nothing makes a woman happier than her favorite food." I told him and he started laughing heartily. We paid for our sumptuous dinner and made our way back home. Luckily we were walking or else all this food was going to my thighs! It was now dark and it had become more chilly, I seeked for warmth from my brother. This is the point where I regretted wearing my sleeveless dress. I should have probably brought along a cardigan. He put his arm around me and we made our way home. We were about to reach home when suddenly, someone grabbed my brother and punched him hard. WHAT WAS GOING ON.

My brother flew onto the floor and the stranger continued to beat him up. My brother however, was strong. He managed to get on top of the guy and gave him a fair share of punches, not enough to knock him out. "What the hell man, what is your problem?" shouted my brother.

"YOU! You are my problem. Stay away from Aphrodite!" shouted the stranger angrily. No way. This can't be. Wait, what was his name again? It dawned on me that I didn't even know his name. I internally laughed.

"Styx! Get off him! I know him" my brother got off him and scolded me "YOU KNOW THIS A**HOLE?"
