I just want to be normal

Ten

I get home after our little adventure to Isabella's and everyone is there eating dinner. I put my keys on the table inside the door and my coat in the rack. I also put my bag on a hook.
"Hey guys." I announce after walking into the kitchen and heating up dinner.
"Hey Kaya. Where were you?" Will asks.
"Yeah." Luke seconds.
"Isabella's." I say and Thomas looks down. Tears in his eyes.
"What happened?" Dylan asks. A little concerned.
"I'll tell you later." I say and grab my dinner out of the microwave and take a seat at the bench.
"So apart from that what did you get up too?" Dylan asks.
"Nothing really. Just got a role in a movie then took Thomas out. Nothing big really." I answer.
"What part?" Will asks.
"What is it with your questions? I feel as if I'm being interrogated. But I got a part in the maze runner. I'm playing Teresa." I answer and Dylan and will drop their forks.
"The Maze Runner. The one with Thomas and Gally and all that." I nod.
"Yeah why?"
"Because Dylan got the role of Thomas and I got the role of Gally." Will says and I too drop my fork.
"That's hilarious. Thomas got the role of Newt." We all burst out laughing. I think I even saw Thomas laugh a little bit.
After tea we sat and watched a few movies. Including Annabelle because Gabi and I love that movie. Even more when the boys would come down and sit next to us. We also watched the purge because I hadn't seen it before and it was awesome.
After a while sleep overpowers me.
"Right well I'm gonna go to bed. Night guys." I say.
"Night Kate." They all say and I walk up to my room and shut the door behind me. I get into my pjs and slip into bed. Today was an eventful day.

"Kaya wake up!" Someone shouts. I groan in response. I want to sleep. I'm tired. I hear my door open. I don't care if its one of the boys.
"Kaya come on." It's Thomas. He pulls on my legs to get me out but I jut grab the bed head. Making it harder for him to get me out.
"Jesus Kaya get out."
"No."
"We have guests. You have to."
"You sound like my mum." I say. "If i wake up will you let go of my legs?"
"Yes." I open my eyes. I see he turned on the light.
"Happy?" He nods.
"Now all you have to do is get up." He says then leaves the room.
After about 10 minutes I get up and grab clean clothes then go into my bathroom to have a shower. It makes it harder for me to get out when I start running the hot water. I finally get out of the shower and get dressed. Putting my makeup on afterwards.
I walk out of my room and put my pyjamas in the basket then go into the living room where everyone is huddled up watching TV. I don't blame them. It's really cold.
"Hey guys." I say and plop down next to Thomas and steal a chip.
"Hey!" He says and I laugh. Putting the chip in my mouth.
"Hey Kaya. So what are we doing today? I mean yesterday we just sat around, how about we do something." Skylah says and I couldn't agree more.
"She has a fair enough point." I say.
"Well what do we do?" Dylan asks.
"We could go to Louisiana." I suggest.
"Ohh sounds like fun." Will compliments. Getting excited. He looks like a four year old who has just had sherbet.
"Anyone else? I'm in for it." Dylan agrees.
Everyone puts their hand up.
"Looks like we're going." I laugh and grab my things. Who knows how long we'll be there for. Good thing I have money. (A/n considering I live in Australia I don't actually know how far away New Orleans is from Louisiana. So if you do know please let me know.)
"Girls in one car boys in the other?" I suggest.
"I guess that could work." Thomas agrees.
"I guess so." Gabi agrees.
"It's settled then." I clap my hands and soon we're out the door. Keys in hand, sunglasses and purse in hand and we are driving off. With me driving.
