I just want to be normal

Twenty Five

Today there is a party. A party for me since it is my birthday today. Yay! I'm turning 25 so I'm getting older. Not just yet though😝😝😝. Thank god.
"Happy birthday Kaya!" Ki yells in my ear. I had just gotten dressed and hopped out of the shower so right now I'm brushing my hair. He's lucky he didn't get hit in the face with a hairbrush.
"Thank you!" I shout back. Equally as loud. We end up laughing. I try to go in the kitchen but Thomas just pushed me back out. Damn it. I'm hungry. So I go into the lounge and turn on the TV. Teen wolf was on so I watched that.
"You still haven't gotten over that show have you?" Dylan. I shake my head.
"No why? Does it get annoying when someone watches it and it you're on it?" I ask. Being sarcastic.
"It's not that. It's just still a little weird." He replies, though he does have a smile on his face. I laugh then finally finish brushing my hair. Just as I finish a plate is placed on my lap. Chocolate chip pancakes. Yum!
"What is this?" I ask.
"Your favourite pancakes. Cooked just for you." Will says.
"Thomas did the cooking didn't he." I say.
"Yep." Will replies popping the 'p'. I dig into the pancakes and they were the best. The chocolate was previously melted making them even more delicious then what they already were. We had the entire of the maze runner cast coming over to the house and some of my friends from California (I'm sorry if it was elsewhere, I just forgot.) I had paid for their tickets once they had RSVP-ed and they were sent to them so everything was ready.

"Well guys I have to go to the airport to pick up some friends so I will be back in a bit." I say.
"Kaya. Before you fi we have something for you." Dylan says.
"What?" I ask. Sitting down.
"We got you something for your birthday." Ki says.
"Guys. You didn't have to get me anything." I say while taking a box from Will. It is quite heavy.
"Well we did." Thomas says. I poke my tongue out at him making him laugh.
I open the box and I am amazed. It was a chocolate Labrador. A puppy too. It was so cute! (Picture up the top. Btw I love chocolate Labradors so that is my dog. Just letting you all know.)
"Guys. She's so cute!" I say. Giving the dog a scratch behind the ear.
"Glad you like her." Will says and I smile.
"Like her? I love her. I think I might name her Coco." I say.
"Real original." Ki says.
"I know right." I laugh then realise I should go. "Well. If you're coming with me to the airport then, I suggest you come." I say. Ki stands up but, no one else does. Awesome.

For the entire time we were laughing and listening to music. Then finally we reach the airport.
"Wait until you see my friends because if you think I'm crazy, you should see me when I'm with my best friend. And there is more then one. Trust me." I warn him. He laughs. "Who said I was joking?" I ask him suspiciously. I laugh and he laughs along with me. I leave my sunglasses on just to make sure that no one sees us. Or me in that matter. Earlier I had put my hair up and I hadn't put makeup on yet so hopefully I didn't look very noticeable. As we wait for them to land which should be any minute now I sit next to Ki. My phone rings several times. Each time I check it says mum so I ignore it. Then when it rings for a fifth time I decide to answer.
"Hello?"
"Kaya. Hi." She sounds hall and it sounds fake. Oh no.
"Hey mum. Why are you calling me?" I ask as if I'm happy but, the last bit was through clenched teeth. Then I see my friend and the best way to get out of this call was to tell her that I'm busy and that she should call tomorrow.
"Oh well I called..." She goes to say but I cut her off.
"Listen mum I'm really sorry but I have to go. I'm at the airport to pick someone up. Got to go. Bye." I say and quickly hang up. I take a sigh of relief and run up to friends I hadn't seen in nearly 2 years!
"Guys it's so good to see you." I shout and hug them.
"Kaya!!!!" They shout. I out my finger to my lips and they realise that I don't want anyone to know I'm here. "sorry." They say. I laugh but assure gem that it's ok.
"Well we gotta go get our bags but we will come right back." They say. I smile and walk back over to Ki who has been spotted by a few fans. He sees me and mouths our 'help'. I laugh but run over.
"Ok ladies. Back off." I say. They turn around and see me. They squeal and run over to me. Asking me for photos and autographs. Soon they all disperse and I am laughing.
"Well that was something." I say and walk over to Ki. Soon the others have gotten their bags and they walk over to us.
"Who's this?" Sam asks. One of the few family members I actually like at the moment.
"My boyfriend." I say. Like its nothing.
"I knew it! I knew you would have a boyfriend the next time we saw you!" Gabi yells. I tell her to quiet down.
"Sorry. But I knew it." She says. Overly excited.
"Well what's his name?" Luke asks. Fun fact, he was my ex-boyfriend. Wow!
"Ki Hong." Ki answers.
"Nice to meet you." Sam says. And there's the brother act. When he's really my cousin but plays the brother card.
"Well guys we should go. I can already see cameras and I am NOT looking forward to when the media comes." I say. They all agree to leaving because frankly, none of us are used to the media yet.
