Birthday Surprise

Summary: In which Steve and the kids decide to surprise you for your birthday

A/n: It's someone's birthday today. Whose? I don't know, but I also wrote this for my upcoming birthday

Today was your birthday. It was the day that Steve could spoil you. As if he doesn't do it every day.

You and Steve were sleeping soundly in your room when Steve's eyes snapped open. He looked at the clock on his bedside table and knew what day it was today. A smile began to form on his face.

He carefully untangled himself from your arms despite not wanting to but he knew he had to in order to make your birthday the most memorable its ever been.

Once he got out of your arms, he tiptoed out of the room, and softly shut the door.

He walked towards the kids room and softly peeked through the door, smiling, seeing all of the kids in a sleep pile. Max and El were cuddling on the bed as the were sprawled all over the floor. He assumed that the girls had beaten the boys in a bet and won over the bed.

Even though they all had their own rooms and beds they all still choose to sleep in the same room and have "sleepovers."

Steve carefully stepped over Dustin's body, who had his legs up on the bed while his body was on the floor.

He tiptoed towards the girls as well as avoiding on stepping on the the others. Once he got to the girls, he gently shook them. "Girls, hey, wake up." Steve whispered.

The girls didn't wake up. Didn't twitch. Didn't even let out a single peep.

"Wanna help me with (Name's) surprise," Steve said, trying again.

Max and El slowly opened their eyes after hearing your name.

"(Name)?"

"Surprise?"

Max and El said at the same time

Steve nodded. "Yeah, today's (Name's) birthday. Wanna help me with her birthday surprise?"

Max and El ecstatically nodded.

Steve let out a laugh. "Okay, let's get the others up so they can help as well. Let's make sure to not make a lot of noise so we don't wake (Name) up, okay?"

Max and El nodded and immediately got up and shook the boys up.

"Lucas, Dustin, wake up." Max said, shaking both boys, making them groan.

"No." The boys said, groaning.

Max rolled her eyes, "Come on. It's Mom's birthday, and we got to help Steve with her surprise."

Both boys eyes snapped open and scrambled to get up.

El walked towards Mike's and Will's sleeping bodies. She softly shook them. "Guys, wake up. It's mom's birthday today." El whispered.

The boys didn't wake up.

El tried again but it didn't work.

El looked at Max and waved her over. "Their not waking up."

Max huffed and roughly shook her. "Shitheads, get up. El said it's moms birthday today."

Mike and Will groaned at the rough shaking.

"What Max?" Mike groaned.

"El tried waking you two up to help up with Mom's surprise but you guys were dead asleep."
