The sinner

Each night I confess my sins to thee
But I do not know your name
Your punishment my darkest plee
But I cannot stay away
Your silver tongue cuts too deep
When it drains away my pain
I tried to stop it
Merely in vein
And as my light ebbed away
I knew my sins
But I had been saved
