Chapter Sixteen:

It worked; that night I was able to finish the charm and it worked (for the most part, it stopped working when I was in the water for some reason and whenever I was outside and attempted to come in to Hogwarts) but it didn't matter.  They apparently never went to an adult to tell them what they'd learned about me and I can only know this because I was never called to Dumbledore's office like I was afraid would happen.

My only hope at this point was that they believed me when I told them Draco wasn't a Death Eater and that they kept their mouths shut about my own Dark Mark.

Not much changed during the summer between fourth and fifth year, the things I learned were more advanced than I was used to but I managed to get by relatively well. Having Snape as a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher was odd, but worse was having Slughorn as a Potions professor.  He was always so happy and it gave me the creeps.  Everyone once in a while he'd glance my way with a weird look in his eyes as if debating if he should invite me into his 'slug club'.

No thank you.
