Chapter 7: One Week Later...

Mai's POV
I look in the mirror and I put on my necklace. I feel the yokai's power posses me. Why did my mom make me wear this necklace?! I hate being possessed! At least I can still think. I just can't do anything. "I" go sit down the couch and I start drinking juice.

Lily's POV
On the way to Skyler's, Hunter, Finn, and I don't talk very much. We just talk a little bit about the crash, which makes it really hard for me. I knew exactly why and how it happened, and I had to lie to MY OWN BROTHER about it. We get to Sky's house and Hunter knocks.

"Hey guys! Let me just wash my face and we can go." She says. She walks upstairs and we all just stand in the lobby, waiting. Suddenly, I feel a burst of dark magic. I stumble and I fall down. Hunter helps me up.
"Are you okay, Lily?" He asks. I put my hand on my forehead.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just have a little headache." I say. He makes me sit down on the stairs. While I'm sitting, I read Skyler's mind, trying to find out what happened. I see that she saw her ghost self. Oh Skyler, I'm so sorry for not being able to tell you that your actually dead. Now, all you have to do is save Hunter from death, and you can leave this world. But I promise, when I meet mom again, I'll have you resurrected and happy again.

A few seconds later, Skyler comes downstairs. Hunter turns and looks at her.
"As stunning as always." He says. Skyler smiles.
"One of the perks of being me." She says. They kiss passionately for a few seconds. They smile and we all head to Mai's house. In the way there, Finn talks about his reputation. I laugh a little. I turn to Skyler. I see a ghost pass her. She quickly became afraid. I sling my arm around her shoulder, and she calmed down. I take my arm back and Hunter does the same thing.

When we arrive, Finn knocks on the door. "It's open." We hear Mai say from inside. Skyler opens the door. "We come bearing gifts." She says.
"By gifts, she means alcohol." Hunter says. "The gift of alcohol." She corrects him. I giggle.
"I think we could all use some stress relief." I say. Sky nods and pours glasses for everyone. We all grab one.

"Celia couldn't make it she's, grounded." I say to Mai.
"Yeah, and I'll be lucky if I can drive again before I'm 30." Finn says.
"It was the car Finn, it wasn't your fault." Hunter says. "I agree." I say.
"I guess it was both of yours." Mai says casually to the both of us. We look at her confused.
"What did you say?" Hunter asks. She swallows a gulp of her juice.
"Let's go outdoors." Mai says. She stands up and walks outside. Hunter and I follow. We open the doors and step outside. We close the doors behind us.

"It's a shame Celia couldn't come." Mai says.
"Humph, yea well, my family's a little crazy right now." Hunter says as he goes to sit down. I follow, sensing the yokai's presence in Mai. Now I know what's wrong with her.
She smiles a little. "Everyone goes a little crazy sometimes." She claims.
"If you ever need someone to talk to, you know I'm here for you." She says. I silently scoff. Yea, but not the real you.

"Thanks Mai, but really, I'm okay." Hunter assures her. Mai shakes her head a little.
"Your not okay, your Hunter Crowley." He nods a little. "Everyone in this town would kill to be you."
Hunter looks up. "I doubt that." He says. Mai walks away. "Besides, I'm leaving in a few weeks and they'll forget all about me and move on with their lives, and I won't be the same Hunter Crowley for long." He claims.

While he was talking, Mai was looking at a sword. She turns around and looks at him. She silently picks up the sword. Mai and I lock eyes. I glare at her. She ignores it, but I can hear a little whimper.
"No, you won't." She says, and she unsheathes the sword. Finn and Skyler walk through the doors and Mai quickly sheathes the sword again. She puts the sword back on the stand. I glare at her once more. Hunter stands up and walks over to Sky. I follow. Before she starts talking, I read Finn's mind and I use mind time travel. Yes, that's a thing.

-Future, Finn's POV-
I sit down. Mai sits next to me.
"Where's your camera?" She asks. "Um," I laugh a little, "it got blown up into a million, trillion little pieces and set on fire for good measure." I laugh a little more.
"But, uh, I got a new one, so...." I say. Mai leans over me, her boobs and her face close to my face, and she grabs my camera.
"Here. Use this. Show me." She says, handing me my camera. She slowly gets of me. I stutter a little. "Oh, oh okay. Um, doing what?" I ask. She fixes her hair.
"What? Don't you like the new me?" She asks. She turns and looks at Hunter.

Lily's POV again
I decide to stop there. I knew what was going to happen next. She was gonna bring the rest of us into the picture. Hunter starts to talk.
"How ya doing, Sky?" He asks, concerned. She looks at him.
"We used to talk. You remember that?" She asks, starting to tear up. I looked through Hunter's mind and saw Skyler a lot, but they didn't really ever talk heart to heart since they became a couple.

"Did you though?" I ask. They look at each other, then Skyler speaks.
"I saw what you two did at the accident." I opened my eyes in shock. I though everyone was out! I have a quick flashback of Hunter pulling of the door and then me pulling of the door.
"Just drop it, okay." I say. Hunter nods. "You don't know what your talking about."
"Just tell me already, Hunter, because I can't do this anymore." She says. Even though she said Hunter, I know she was saying it to me too. Mai interrupts our conversation.

"Hunter does." We look at her. "Don't you Hunter?" She says. We turn back to out conversation.
"I know things haven't been the same since the accident." Hunter says.
"It's not just since the accident, you have been keeping things from me ever since we met. All I have ever wanted from you was to know you, to really know you, so that we can share a life together, do we can experience things; the good AND the bad."

Hunter was about to say something, so I decide to say it with him.
"You don't know how bad things can get." We say in sync. I start to tear up. Hunter puts his hand over my shoulder and I calm down. Skyler rolls her glassy eyes.
"We don't want to hurt you, we just." Hunter pauses. "We just need you to trust us." I finish for him.
Skyler looks at us. "What if I can't?" Hunter and I lock eyes. We both show the same faces. We look scared and sad.

"So Skyler gets to dress how she wants and hang all over guys in public, but when I do it, it's weird!" Mai yells. I wipe my tears and Skyler wipes hers. We all walk over to where Mai and Finn are.
"Mai, what the hell's wrong with you?" Hunter says.
She scoffs. "Well that's just delightful coming from you." Hunter looks at her, confused. She continues.

"Look at you all. Scared. Pathetic." She looks at me and Hunter. "So careful not to let anyone see how screwed up you really are." I glare at her. I move my finger, making her fall to the ground. She rubs her head and stands up. She locks eyes with me. I glare at her once more. She whimpers, and this time everyone hears it. They all look at me. I just keep glaring at Mai.
"Please get out of my house." She whispers. I nod and I leave the backyard. Hunter follows me. Finn heads into the house and Skyler heads to the twins' house. I walk down a street and Hunter finally catches up to me. He grabs my hand, which causes me to look at him.

"You have powers too?" He asks. I nod. He smiles.
"Well then, I guess we're in this together!" He says. I smile and we lock arms. We decide to take a little walk. I can sense Mai in the shadows. I need to take Hunter to the place we'll encounter Mai.
