•THE NEW KID•

On my way to my locker, I notice a group of people crowding by my locker. I am kind of scared to see why they are there...... When Bree and I get close enough, we notice Drew holding onto another kid's shirt. I haven't seen that guy before, so I'm guessing that he's new.

Everyone is just watching Drew beat up this helpless kid! I have to do something about it!

"HEY!! LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Everyone turns toward me, and clears a pathway so that I can get to the helpless kid.

Bree looks at me like I'm crazy! I've fought with a few kids at school, but not Drew! I'm kind of apprehensive, and I wish that I didn't call out.

"Well, look who it is!" Drew shouts as I walk closer to re inside of the circle. Bree tried to follow me, so that she can back me up, but as soon as I get to the center, she gets trapped, and she wasn't able to stay with me........ Now it's just me against the biggest ass-whole of the school!

"Chloe! Now what do I owe the pleasure of you being in my presence!?" Drew asks sarcastically. I decide not to answer........

"Is this your little boyfriend!?" He asks in a nagging sort of way.

"Fuck no! But what the hell makes you think that you can just go picking on people like that!?" I yell trying to sound confident...... Honestly, I'm scared shit-less, but I'm definitely not going to show it!

"Did you just....... Tell me what not to do!?" As he asks that, he looks over to a two boys, I'm assuming that they're part of his "possey".

"Yeah! So you better leave him alone! I've had enough of you pushing everyone around!" I shout trying to sound fierce! I take a step closer and I know that he is trying to intimidate me.

When he turns away from me, he goes to kick the already beat up kid sprawled out on the floor. When he goes to kick him again, I tap him on the shoulder, and once he turns his face to look at me, I punch him right in the face. The group of kids surrounding us starts gasping, and 'ooo' and 'ahh'.

All of a sudden, Drew punches me in the face! It hurt like a mother-fucker! I wipe some blood from my mouth, and I decide to fight back.

Punch, after punch. Eventually Drew looks at his hand, and gets ready to knock me out. Because if I get hit one more time, then I will definitely fall to the ground!
"What the fuck do you guys think you're doing!?" A voice shouts from the crowd. As the person gets closer, I see that it's a kid that I've seen around school before, but I don't know his name.

"Stay out of this Keaton!" Drew shouts........ So it's Keaton, I think that he is one of Drew's friends or something.

Keaton walks up to us, and he steps in between us, so that we can't reach each other. "If I don't break this fight up, then you guys would both be get detention!"

Just then, everyone turns their attention towards the outside of the circle, and as the circle parts, I find out that Keaton spoke too soon! "Principal's office ! You four! Let's go!" It's mrs. Jenkins, the vice principal!

"Damn it!" Drew mutters. We all follow Mrs. Jenkins to the principal's office, including the beat up kid.
