Chapter 4

Ally's POV

I go to the warm up area and meet up with my coaches. We work stunts, tumbling, and stunt run a few times then go wait for us to be called out. "Now welcome to the floor Cheer Strike Allstars Emerald Explosion."

We run out on to the floor. We hit our starting positions and waited for the music to start. The music started. I lose myself in the routine.

We hit all our stunts and we danced a butts off. I tumbled better than ever before today. I hope we win. I am so excited for the awards ceremony. We exit the stage and get a talk from the coaches. I walk out into the audience and try and find my family and/or Liz. I see Liz standing in the dark area beside the stage near where we were. I run over and hug her.

"Were we good?" I ask excitedly. I always ask Liz how we did. She is amazing and having her tell me I did good means a lot to me. I look up to her as a roll model and a sister.

"You were awesome." she says and I know she means it. Liz is not one to tell you that you did good when you didn't but she is nice about it.

Some more teams compete. A few drop their stunts. No one is hurt though. I don't hope teams drop their stunts but if they do and no one is hurt it's ok. That sounds mean but it's just a cheer thing. We never wish bad things on the other teams and we feel bad when someone gets hurt, but sometimes you are glad if a stunt falls and no one is hurt.

The team splits up to roam around the convention center but they meet up for awards by the stage. The whole team are required to stay for awards unless you have special circumstances because we win as a team and we lose as a team.

The teams gather on the stage. It is very crowded. Everyone is nervous and anxious for the results. We sit in circles as teams holding hands as we wait. Finally award time comes. The announcer says the award name then the winning team.

"In Fourth place we have... Cheer Fusion... Junior Jade.

"In third place we have ... Spirit of Texas ....Purple Aces!"

"In second place we have ... Cheer Extreme .... Glitter Penguins!"

"Finally the first place grand champion winner ... Cheer Strike Allstars ... Emerald Explosion."

We jump and scream. While the parents cheer and clap. I am so happy that my team one first place. The Next big competition we have coming up is Summit in six weeks.
