"Doesn't matter if you believe in them or not. If they're there, they're there,' Mrs. Phipps said."
- Joan Lowery Nixon

Cora hated school with a passion. She hated the people inside it and the building all together.

She wanted to know who suggested that they got up at 6am and only got 3 months for summer. Cora was totally against it.

Bridge Way had the worst reputation ever in Vermont and her parents couldn't afford to send her to a private school but luckily it was Cora's last year.

There were so many fights that went on at Bridge way that the cops heavily guard the hallways. One on each end and one in the middle than there's five at lunch. There was a total of seven hallways so you can say that they had a lot of cops there at school.

Two girls had been killed in the lunchroom and one in the bathroom. It was ridiculous and Cora was scared so she only had three friends and kept to herself. She didn't really make eye contact with anyone and it was also hard to keep teachers and principals there. They had went through so many and now the school was paying the remaining teachers double just to stay.

She kept her head down as she walked through school and to her friends. They always met under the tree outside then went inside together and stuck together.

Cora greeted her three friends. There was Quentin, Isaac and Rachael or Rocky. Rachael had always preferred Rocky over Rachael. She thought it seemed cooler and more badder.

"Cora Cora Cora. How is my favorite girl?" Quentin grinned at Cora. Rocky let out a shocked gasp. "What about me?"

He shrugged. "Eh.. I'm starting not to like you anymore. You wore orange today, I hate that color.

Cora chuckled. Quentin did hate the color orange. "I'm alright, how about you uglies? I heard you got a new face this weekend."

Her gay friend gasped and pushed up against Cora. "Bitch, do not try me. I will fight you."

"Do you seriously want to go Quinn? I will pick up your five foot six ass and put you in the trash!"

They both starred at each other with a intimidated look before laughing at each other and embracing.

Isaac just stood behind Rocky admiring Cora. He would never admit it to her but he was madly in love with her. He liked the way her perfect luscious brown curls bounced when she laughed, how sometimes when something was really funny she would also snort or throw her head back. The way Cora looked around when she was curious or how he loved the fact that she was so cute when she was so shy or awkward. Knowing her was the best thing that has ever happened to Isaac and he didn't think he would ever fall out of love with someone with such beauty.

"Isaac!" Cora perked up, moving on to hug her other best friend. "Coraline, Hi." Isaac breathed out. He was blushing so hard and trying to contain himself. Rocky and Quinn giggled at him. It was so noticeable that he was in love with her. They didn't know how she didn't see it.

She pulled away, pinching his red tinted and smiled at him.

"Ready to go in?" Cora asked her friends.

"No." Rocky said bluntly. "But let's go. Remember no eye contact."

They all grabbed hands and went inside. Each and everyone kept their heads down except Quinn. He was the one that guided them.
