"When he died, all things soft and beautiful and bright would be buried with him"
― Madeline Miller

"I'll see you Monday." Cora told her friends. It was really early in the morning like eleven thirty. She was on her way to the next town over to meet Xavier's old girlfriend. Even if Xavier had a crush on her and is mad at her. She would still help him. That was the right thing to do.

Cora was still upset with Rocky and her and Isaac... Well she wasn't for sure on that.

Isaac enjoyed the kiss even if it was a dare, he would do it again in a heartbeat.

"Have a safe trip." Quinn smiled at her.

"Will do and don't forget to cover up for me. I'll probably be back around three or four." She nodded, backing her car up.

Cora looked at her GPS then back at Taylor Watkins's house. She had arrived, her home was lovely. It was like one of those houses you see in movies. There was a boy and girl outside, playing in the fenced in yard. One was swinging in the tire swing and the other one was rolling around in leaves with their dog.

Cora unbuckled her seatbelt and got out. She walked through their gate and down the sidewalk. The kids smiled at her and she smiled back.

Cora wasn't really sure how she was going to play this out as a detective or some girl. She rang the doorbell, and patted down her hair. Cora didn't realize that on her way down, the wind had made her hair a mess.

The door opened revealing a beautiful Filipino women. 'So this must be Taylor Watkins.' Cora thought.

Taylor smiled. "Hi, Can I help you?"

Cora shifted from foot to foot. "Um, yes. I just have a few important questions for you. Can we discuss it inside. It's a little cold."

"Of course, come in." Taylor motioned. Cora stepped into her lovely home. Everything was beautiful and super neat. They both walked into her living room.

"Just take a seat. Do you want anything? We have water, coffee, juice, hot chocolate, etc. You name it we got it."

"Water would be fine please."

Taylor nodded. It didn't take her long to get it.

"There you go. I forgot to ask you your name. I'm sorry." Taylor apologized, handed her the bottle of water then sitting down as Cora told her name.

"Well I'm Taylor." She cleared her throat. "So are you a cop?"

"I am not. This is gonna sound a little weird but do you believe in ghosts?"

"Somewhat, yes why."

"I can see ghosts and hear them." And then Cora went onto tell her about Xavier and how she could see him.

After she was done, Taylor was shocked. "I knew Xavier just wouldn't kill himself."

"So you believe me?"

"Yes I do."

Cora looked at her. "Can you tell me anything about Xavier during his time in high school."
