chapter 17. Let it happen

Finally after all of the hardship the three girls had faced in the past few months, one thing was for sure, their friendship came back and nothing would come in between them again.
Harper had gone to the police station with Amerie, her mom and Bambi to report the unfortunate situation that had happened to her a few months prior. It felt like everything was back in place.
Well not exactly everything, the girls were still dealing with their own problems. After the whole situation with Harper, Bambi didn't have the time to think about Ant, but now that it was done, her mind couldn't stop spiraling and she wasn't in her usual confident mood anymore.
They made their way towards the school. It was a sunny day, which made the mood a little lighter. The only thing that ruined it was having to see the faces of the boys who almost managed to ruin their whole reputation. Spider and Dusty.
"Did you know they made the accusation against Jojo?" Amerie asked.
"I had a hunch" Harper responded.
"I don't know how we didn't think about it earlier, of course only they could do something so stupid" Bambi said with disdain in her voice.
"Why did you say it was you then?" Amerie asked while she put a hand on her shoulder.
"Because you two had everything to lose, and I had nothing"
"Fuck em" Amerie looked at both girls and took both girls hand from each side.
While they walked they saw Darren, Quinn and Malakai standing in front of them. Amerie stopped in her tracks and naturally did the two other girls.
"So, you're back?"
"Yep" He smiled "Lots happened by the looks of it"
"Can't believe they're still here after what they did" Quinni made mention to the boys in front of them.
"They barely get community service, yet we're all probably gonna get suspended" Darren said.
Bambi looked at them so deeply, she could've almost burned a hole in them. At least in her head she did. Ant must've felt her looking at him and turned to look at her with a regretful look.
After his mistake Ant had called her nonstop and sent messages, only for her to block him everywhere so she wouldn't be reminded of him ever again. As much as she loved him, Bambi swore to herself she wouldn't fall for him again and chose peace, and that's exactly what she intended to do.
