Everything You Know Is a Lie

Megumi placed the books on her dresser and slid on her gloves. He could see the concern on her face as she silently made her way past him. Dre followed her out of her room, through the now brightly lit hallway, and into the living room, where their parents, Loyalty, Joel, and Ian stood. "Ah, there you two are," Toney said cheerfully. "Sorry I couldn't introduce myself to you properly. The name's Toney Gladestone. I'm to assume that you're Ke'Undre?"

"Y-yes sir. But I mostly known as Dre," he said behind Megumi.

"No need to be so formal, Dre," he said, beaming. "Right then. Megumi, Ian, Dre, let's get down to business. First and foremost, I must tell you all that everything you know about yourself is a lie. You are of a guardian race called the Amians. Just like us, you all hail from the planet Amity, brought here for the sole purpose to protect the planet Earth in secret from the dark reaches of an ancient evil, Aggaron the Dark. Question, Ian-" he asked as Ian raised his hand.

"Man, I can't even believe that I'm asking this," Ian mumbled under his voice. "So, if I'm hearing correctly, we're aliens?"

"Well... If you want to put it that way, yes, I suppose we are aliens."

Dre gave Megumi a satisfied grin, mouthing "Told ya," to her.

Toney continued. "As you all may or may not know, there are some strange happenings in the world as of late. Crime is abnormally high, and the culprits always have odd, blood-red marking tattooed on them. Coincidence? To the naked eye, yes. Both Tiffany and I, as well as Raheem and Abigail, have seen these marking from those who have made a wish with Aggaron. See, he uses dark magic to make their deepest wishes come true. In return, he gets their freedom. But you'll learn about him soon enough, I'm sure. Anyway, the markings are called the Hell-Seal Tattoos, runes made by your very own blood that not only shows that you made a pact with Aggaron, but also controls your mind whenever he sees fit. Question?" he asked again, this time Dre's hand shot up.

"I'm still confused. If we aren't human, then what are we? I mean, I know you said we're this Amian thing, but what are Amians?"

"I'm glad you asked." He reached into his jean pockets and pulled out a small, red bag. "Inside of this bag contains our means of travelling to our home planet, Amity." He ripped the top off, poured jelli bean-sized honey drops into the palm of his hand, and passed the bag down the line. "All of your questions will be answered shortly once you get there. Before you eat it, make sure you state the location that you want to go, and it'll transport you there via waypoints. For example, Reiax Academy gates." He popped the candy in his mouth. He closed his dark blue eyes as he leaned backwards, but before he fell to the ground, his body disappeared in thin air.

Tiffany, Raheem, Abigail, Loyalty, and Joel each followed Toney's directions and vanished the same as he, leaving Ian, Dre, and Megumi in the house alone. "Man, if I had known that this was how I was going to spend my day, I would have stayed home. Reiax Academy gates" Ian sighed angrily as he popped the candy in his mouth. He, too, vanished.

Dre and Megumi glanced at each other for a quick moment before she said, "Well, we might as well. Reiax Academy gates." She disappeared as she swallowed the candy.

Dre was all alone, contemplating on what he should do. Toney told them that their questions will be answered when they get there, but he wasn't sure if he'd actually like the answers. It could mean that his whole life could change. The idea of being chased down by the CIA for being an alien shook him to his core. He snapped back into reality as he felt a small, furry head nudge his ankle. He looked down, seeing a ginger cat looking up at him with large, green eyes. "You must be Mew-Mew." She meowed at him before she nudged him again. "Okay, okay, I'm going," he told the kitten as he took in a deep breath. He swallowed his fear as he hesitantly stated, "Tally ho. Reiax Academy gates." He placed the candy in his mouth, allowing the sweetness of the honey drop explode in his mouth. He felt his anxiety creep away from him. He began to feel calm. Too calm, as if he were in an angel's embrace. Seconds after he swallowed the candy, his eyelids felt as though they were made of lead. He felt the floor under him give out as he tried to cling onto the couch for support. His hand phased though the couch as his eyes were closed shut.
