Megumi arrived at the school's parking lot ten minutes later, her rock music blaring inside the car. Due to Principal Dixon's attack on Dre, she had no idea where the rest of her classes were. She figured that it would be a good idea to go to the principal's office and try to find someone who could help. Who could help her, she had no idea. She figured that Mr. McManus was too preoccupied with the police to help out any, and Dixon was probably rotting in jail. Not that he was useful to begin with. Well, there was Dre. Considering how eager he was to help her yesterday, she figured that he probably wouldn't mind.

She stopped in her tracks as she saw Dre walking up the steps towards her. For some reason, he looked miserable. He was wearing a black, ill-fitting button up T-shirt with a towel in his breast pocket. His hair was tied back in a ponytail, with his bangs covering the sides of his face. "Dude, you look like hell," she called as he reached the last step.

"I know."

She inclined a brow. "What's wrong? Usually, you'd be saying something off the wall, or give me that goofy 'glare.'"

He sighed as he padded his face with the towel. "To make a long story short, my girlfriend is here." Megumi's eyes almost popped out of her head as she placed her fingers over her lips, trying to hold in her laughter. Dre squinted at her. "What's so funny about that?"

"Someone actually decided to try to stomach you. What does your waifu look like?"

"Waifu? Oh, I don't intend on getting married. Not after going out with her." He pulled his phone out of his pocket and tapped on the screen. "Here. This is her."

He handed her the phone. Megumi's jaw hit the floor as she saw his supposed girlfriend. Dressed in a sleeveless white sundress, as well as a straw sunhat, the woman was fiddling with the silvery-blond braid draped across her shoulder. She was beautiful. Like, intensely beautiful. "Dude, she looks like a porcelain doll."

"Yeah, one that's been molded by Satan himself," he murmured.

"She can't be that bad. I mean, look at her. She's beautiful. I might even be inclined to steal her from you."

"Looks can be deceiving," he whined as he dabbed the towel on his forehead. "Look, just leave me alone for today, okay?"

Megumi was taken aback. "What the hell, dude?"

"I-it's not you-"

"You'd better not be giving me that 'It's not you, it's me' crap."

"I'm not. It's not me. It's her. Trust me, you don't wanna-"

Dre flinched as woman cleared her throat behind him. Slowly, he turned around. "O-oh. Hi, Samantha."

She shoved him aside, glaring at Megumi.

"Who the hell are you?" she said.

Megumi felt her eyebrow twitch. "Beg your pardon?"

"I said who are you?" She crossed her arms over her chest, drumming her fingertip on her arm. "I'm waiting."

Clenching her fists at her side, Megumi answered with, "The wrong person to piss off."

Samantha laughed a mocking, irritating laugh. "I see you're not that bright, so I'll explain it to you, little girl. Dre is my boyfriend. Not yours. I don't appreciate you talking to my property without my permission."

Megumi's heart burned in her chest. Her knuckles began to turn white from squeezing them so hard. She took back every compliment she made. Dre was right. She didn't want to meet her, but now, her hands did. Exhaling out of her nose, she simply said, "Okay," before gearing her hand back.

Before she was able to swing a wild haymaker, she felt someone grab her arm. A hand covered her hand as she felt herself lift off of the ground, taking her towards the main building. Kicking her short legs wildly in the air, she started yelling curses into the person's hand.

"Calm down, Megumi. People are starting to stare," she heard Kim say from behind her. She set Megumi down outside of the entrance to the main building.

"What do you mean, 'calm down?!" Megumi exploded. "Can you believe what she said to me? She called me little girl. Little girl, Kim."

Looking away, Kim said, "Well, you are kinda short."

Megumi looked at her, mouth agape. "Kim, if it was anyone else that said that, they'd be picking up their teeth by now."

"I-I didn't mean to offend you. I just mean that you shouldn't deny what makes you you. If it makes you feel any better, I wish I was as tall as you."

"Huh?"

"At least people will call you cute. It's better than people calling you a Sasquatch because you're the second tallest person in school."

Fire flared on Megumi's fist. "Who called you a Sasquatch?"

"It's not important," Kim pleaded. "What I mean to say is, it's rough on either side of the spectrum. Just think of yourself as a bite-sized princess."

Megumi pouted. "I don't want to be a princess. Now, bite-sized badass. That sounds much better."

"Yep," Kim smiled. "It's more you."

Megumi smiled back, despite her rage towards Samantha. "What about Samantha?"

Kim's face soured. "I find it best to ignore her. She's barely here anyways, so you probably won't have to deal with her after today."

"I hope. For her sake. You wanna walk with me to the office? I gotta talk to McManus."

With an apologetic face, Kim said, "Sorry, but I've got to go to tennis try-outs."

"It's cool, chick. Knock 'em dead," she smirked as she went inside.
