I left them to talk as I took a walk outside. I wanted to take a look around. It was fall and the leaves were on the ground but thanks to my catlike reflexes, I managed to walk and make minimal noise.
I hummed to myself as I walked through the small woods behind their house. I love fall. It's so beautiful.
Then I heard footsteps running behind me and panicked when I turned to see it wasn't Michael. They were running towards me and my first instincts were to protect the baby inside of me. I cover my stomach protectively with my arms and attempted to run, but they caught me.
It was a group of girls and one boy. The girls held me still while the one boy examined my face. "Your a pretty one, aren't you?"
I hissed and bared my teeth at him. He flinched backwards. Then his eyes shot up towards the boys who were calling me from the house. When the boys began to come outside, they tried to drag me away, but I sat on the on the ground, fought, and screamed.
"Soldier!" Michael yelled and I could here him getting closer.
"Michael!" I screamed. He appeared from behind a tree and yanked me from the girls grip. I desperately held on to Mikey for dear life.
"Don't touch my wife." He growled.
"Why not? She's just an animal." He laughed bitterly.
I hissed and stepped forward, kicking him where no man should be kicked. Then, I took Michael's arm and rushed him home. I almost made it inside before I lost the minimal contents if my stomach at the edge of their woods.
Michael rubbed my back but I stumbled back inside to everyone. I meowed tiredly and climbed the steps too Michael's room, ignoring everyone. I just wanted sleep and Cuddles. Darn hormones.
Michael joined me five minutes later. He laid down and hugged me to him.
"Thank you, Mikey." I smile.
"I promised you that I would protect you." He whispered and kissed my temple.
"I loveh you, My Mikey."
"I love you, too."
