Chapter 19

Baekhyun's POV

The day of debut came, and everyone was excited except for me. I dont know why but I just didnt feel like as if it was my day.

Though I put in effort to make our new EXO group look a hella lot better, I felt like as if I didnt fully belong here and that my trainee period was the shortest, thus making me look like as if I dont have a right to be here.

As the stage was prepared with the lights blinking and the director shouting backstage to the crew, the rest of the members were just standing around and our SuJu seniors came over.

" Annyeonghaseyo! " They greeted and bowed. We did the same thing and Ryeowook hyung pulled me and D.O to the side.

" U dongsaengs alright? " He asked. I just nodded my head and smiled. Ryeowook and D.O kept on talking and looking at them, I guessed they had a good time together. I didnt want to interrupt their convo, so I slipped away quietly when I felt someone's chest in my face.

" Mian Baekhyun, " Leeteuk hyung ruffled my hair as he apologised. I know the age gap between us is huge but because of his personality, I sometimes talked to him informally.

Leeteuk and I sat down at one of the tables and he looked at me seriously.

Leeteuk's POV

Looking at Baekhyun seriously, I crossed my arms and tucked my legs in. Baekhyun tilted his head a bit, before asking, " Is there something wrong Teukie hyung? "

I leaned in closer to his ear.

" Do u know about Yesung? " I whispered. Baekhyun's eyes widened and he nodded his head. I quickly explained to him that Yesung was a former SuJu member but because of a fight between him and Ryeowook he left the group at his own decision. Baekhyun still couldnt believe what I told him, and it was almost time for EXO's debut stage.

" Go first Baek. I'll talk to u after the stage show, " I waved goodbye to him as he smiled and did aegyo. He chuckled before running off to Xiumin dongsaeng.

Kangin came up to me and smirked. I knew there was something behind it yet I ignored him and we all anticipated their stage.

Xiumin's POV

This was finally the moment where all our hard work of practice and recordings paid off. Our actual debut song, MAMA, played as the 12 of us ran onto the stage. All around us I could only hear the members' voices as their parts came on and the shrieking and cheering of the fans as we performed.

Halfway through, the Chinese version came on and quickly switching dance positions according to Manager hyung, from the corner of my eye, I saw Baekhyun looking dizzy and he almost fell after tripping on Chanyeol's foot.

Really, he seemed down these days and he was quite shy around me and Lu Han every time. Its like as if he was either afraid or couldnt be bothered to talk to us anymore. He mainly hung around Chanyeol and that pissed me off. Their skinship makes everything worse, because its not like as if Chanyeol was always around for Baekhyun when Baekhyun needed comfort.

The performance ended in another minute and I didnt even realise it until we greeted the audience as a group. Upon doing the individual introductions, I saw Chanyeol and Baekhyun giggle and that made the MC really curious.

" Tell me u two. What were the both of u up to? " the MC asked. Baekhyun and Chanyeol showcased their " trick " to the audience that cracked everyone up except me. I just stood on the stage and fake giggled. After all the stuff that usually occurred on TV, the EXO members went backstage, and Baekhyun immediately disappeared, claiming that he had to find Leeteuk hyung to talk to.

Meanwhile, the other SuJu members were busy talking to the dongsaengs. Sungmim hyung came up to me a few moments later and sighed.

" I know the feeling because its written all over your face u care about Baekhyun dongsaeng. U two made out? " I slapped Sungmin playfully in the back and the both of us went off to join the others.

Baekhyun's POV

I found Leeteuk along the corridor and he immediately spotted me. He brought me to a small room with the only light source a small lamp that hung from the ceiling and nothing else in the room.

Leeteuk hyung showed me a picture of Yesung from his phone and stared at me seriously.

" Yesung said that he's coming back and he wants u and Ryeowook to do something together and give it to him as a present. If u guys cant or fail to do so, he'll make sure something horrible happens to your family. I guarantee u 100% its gonna be unforgivable so make it fast. Ryeowook will be waiting at the bus stop u always head to after school. Make sure no one, not even Xiumin goes with u. He'll show u what to do and meet Yesung the following day at 6.13pm at the bubble tea shop in the mall, " Leeteuk gave me a piece of paper.

He patted my back and left the room without saying anything. I went out soon after to the rest of the EXO members and waited backstage with them.
