"Hmm, yeah, I figured—you're late today as well," the girl said while on a call.
"Sorry, jaana," someone replied from behind and hugged her.
"Hn han, m samjh gayi ki tum aaj bhi late ho," one girl said to somebody on a call.
"Kitna chalak ho na tum, Aahir. Tumhe pta tha ki aaj humri 5th anniversary hai aur tumhe aaj bhi vo hawai jahaz uddana tha?"
She slapped his hand, which was wrapped around her waist.
He turned her around and looked into her eyes.
"Ishh, yahi gusse par to mujhe aur pyar aata hai ap par," he said and kissed her nose.
"In 5 saalo mai tumhe kabhi mujhe bhulne hi ni deti," he added, kissing her cheeks.
"Ki?"
"Ki?"
He leaned toward her lips, but a giggle interrupted their moment. She pushed him aside and looked at the owner of the sound.
"Vinu, tum yaha kab aaye?"
"Jab apka romance chal rha tha," he replied with a teasing smile.
Aahir caught him and said, "Bhut masti nahi aarhi apko aaj kal?"
"Vo to apko aarhi chachu," he said and ran inside.
"Kitna bigad gya hai ye," Ayesha said, looking at him and raising her eyebrows.
"Sidhe bolo, tumne bigada hai," she replied.
He held her wrist and pulled her toward him. His arms wrapped around her bare waist, firm this time, leaving no room for distance. The smirk on his face slowly faded as his eyes searched hers—serious, intense.
"Bigadana to mai tumhe bhi chahta hu. Lekin tum ho ki hamesha bhag jati ho," he said quietly, the teasing gone, replaced by something deeper.
She tried to look away, but he stepped closer, their breaths colliding. His grip tightened just enough to make her heart race, not letting her escape, not asking her to stay—just holding her there.
He held her too close, the tension heavy between them, and pressed his lips to hers—slow, deliberate—pouring everything he hadn't said into that single moment.
"Aa... aah... Aahir, koi dekh lega," she whispered between the kiss.
He answered her by kissing her more intensely, as if her words only fueled him.
"Dekhne do ki kaise mai apni biwi se pyar kr raha aur kitna pyar krta hu," he murmured.
She slapped his chest and gently pushed him away.
"Ek bache ke baap ho aur kitna besharm hogye ho tum," she said, trying to sound stern.
But he pulled her back into his arms, closing the distance once again, and pressed a lingering kiss against her collarbone.
"Kitna bolti ho tum," he said softly before nipping at her skin.
"Ahh... Aahir ye kya—"
He placed his hand over her mouth and looked at her, his eyes dark with intent.
"Abhi sabke aane m time hain, chalo."
She looked at him, confused—where?
Before she could ask, he wrapped his arms around her and lifted her effortlessly, carrying her forward. With a practiced motion, he pushed the bedroom door shut with his leg.
He gently laid his wife on the bed and hovered over her, his gaze softening.
"Itne saalo mai bhi tum mujhe aaj bhi pagal kar deti ho, Ayesha," he whispered before capturing her lips in a kiss—one powerful enough to steal her breath.
