I'M THE NARRATOR AND THIS IS JUST
THE PROLOGUE!*Taylor's P.O.V*
The day has finally come! I was growing quite tired of this house. I've lived here for years and I'm ready for a new start. The houses where I am about to move to are mostly still on sale considering it's a new area.
"Taylor, please come over here and help me pack the last few boxes. We have to leave soon!" My mother yelled from downstairs.
"Coming!" I said, as I sped down the stairs.
Packed at last! Now to move and unpack..
*One Week Later*
It took a while but I feel relieved to be moved in and finally settled down. I love this house, it's beautiful. My room has its own bathroom, and I have a beautiful view of the ocean from my bed. It's great! I'm just kidding, but I do have a view of the empty house beside mine. I guess I should begin to get my things ready for school tomorrow, it is my last year after all. I also hate procrastinating it makes me feel as if I haven't accomplished anything.
*First Day Of School*
I decided to go for a casual yet dressy look and so I wore my white dress, a black sweater on top and some brown boots. I put my strawberry blonde hair into a low bun with loose curls hanging out at the sides. Lastly, I threw on some winged eye liner and mascara along with lipgloss. I grabbed my breakfast before heading off to school and attending my first class. English. I sat down with an empty seat beside me, but as soon as I did I hear the classroom door open. After I turn to look to see who it is, I see Corey walk towards me and he takes the seat beside me. I feel my face burn up and I just know that it is a scarlet red. He looks at me and smiles.
"Hey, how are you?" He said, a sly look on his face planted with a half hearted smile.
Did he really just talk to me..? The last time he said anything to me was almost a year ago and I couldn't even reply because I was having heart palpitations due to his presence.
"Just fine." I say in the most love struck voice. Why can't he see that he's taking my breath away?
"That's great!" He says before smiling and looking at his desk. Crap! Maybe I should ask how he is too.. nope too late.
My face at this point felt as though it was melting, I just wanted to tell him how much I wanted to be with him, but I knew that it was just wishful thinking. I attend the rest of my classes still being melodramatic about what happened with Corey. What can I say, he's distracting but I'm distracted without him anyways.
*After School*
I got home late after school, because I had stopped at the library and my parents were out, they had called me and told me that they wouldn't be back until the next morning due to work. I shrugged it off and went into my room before I ordered Chinese takeout and began to watch videos on YouTube. I almost regretted watching videos that nearly scared me to death, but I loved the adrenaline rush it gave me.
It was nearly 11 pm so, I decided to get dressed for bed. I put on my cozy pajamas before I drifted off to sleep, until I heard a tap on the window [AN: Read 'A Tap On The Window' by, Linwood Barclay it is fantastic!]. I figured it was just the wind blowing something against it and went back to sleep. Then I heard the sound grow louder, and it sounded like someone was aggressively pounding at the glass that separated me from whoever was out there. Mortified, I ran into the bathroom and called my parents to which they had informed me to call the police. I called them and they had remained on the line with me. The pounding stopped which was odd but I did not dare leave the bathroom, I hid beneath the sink in the cabinet. A few minutes later, I heard the door knock and the police on the phone told me it was one of the cops that were sent to my house. I opened the door and noticed them all rushing towards me pointing guns in what seemed like my direction. What the hell was going on?!

Sorry for the cliff hanger! This is the first Chapter hence the reason it is quite short but please let me know what you think of the story and what you would like to see in the upcoming chapters.
Edit: I was looking back at my story and realized that the English class thing was ironic as I had English with my [now ex-crush] as my first class too (I started writing this before school started), he didn't sit beside me considering that I got to class after him but I find it funny. I can't believe I started writing this almost a year ago.. it kind of isn't that great it is way too cliché, sorry!
Thank you for reading :)
