*Corey's POV*I noticed the house beside Taylor's was on sale a few weeks ago and convinced my parents to move there considering we were desperately finding a place closer to my school. I knew she was going to move there when I saw her go into the house the day we were looking around the new houses. I've always been.. nervous around her but I try not to show it, and the first time I talked to her she ignored me. Maybe she didn't like me like that but I wasn't going to give up. I know I sound like a complete stalker, but I would rather call myself a hopeless romantic.
After finally moving in I decided to go to my room and unpack. As I opened the window I realized that Taylor was sitting inside doing her homework. I must be blessed, because I got the room across from hers. A few minutes later I looked up and saw Taylor, so I waved at her. She looked up at me and shut her curtains frantically after giving me a shy wave back. I chuckled at that but continued unpacking. I looked back up at her once the curtains were opened and noticed her beautiful curly blonde hair as it fell perfectly behind her shoulders and down her back.
A few minutes later I took a break with my unpacking when I heard her leave her room and come back with her friend, Kara. I had always seen them together at school so I figured they were close. I then heard them whispering- loudly might I add. Our windows were so close that I could hear everything almost clearly.
"Shh he might hear us!" I hear Taylor say as she slaps Kara's arm with the back of her hand.
"Whatever, you better get used to it seeing he lives right next to you" Kara scoffed.
Were they talking about me? Well of course they were.. Who else lived right next to her, close enough for them to be heard?
"Shut up Kara! He probably doesn't even know I live here!" She said angrily. I let out a chuckle at the irony, I had waved at her not more than 15 minutes ago. I quickly shut the curtains afraid that they heard me. Once I was sure they didn't hear me, I opened the curtains and continued setting up my room.
*Taylor's POV*
I heard the curtains open and jumped out of my skin.
"SEE LOOK WHAT YOU DID! I bet he heard us!" I screamed.
"Stop being such a baby Taylor, he probably just wanted some fresh air" she assured.
"Ok fine whatever." I scoffed.
A few hours passed as we watched re-runs of old TV shows and we were bored until Kara suggested truth or dare.
"Haha ok... Truth or dare?" She asked eagerly.
"Hm.. I don't know if there's anything you don't know about me so I'm gonna go with dare." I said, immediately regretting it.
"Well then, sneak into Corey's room and grab that book on his night stand." Kara said, smirking.
"No way! That's totally not fair!" I yelped in disbelief.
"Too bad, you said you would and besides it looks like he's sleeping, he looked busy the whole time you were 'admiring him from afar'."
"No way!"
"Yes way! Or else I will tell him how much you love him."
"Ugh!! Fine.. He does look like he's out like a light."
I slowly crept through my window and onto my balcony as I carefully reached over onto his. I looked inside to see him sound asleep. He was so cute when he slept, his hair was messy, but sadly I couldn't see his beautiful eyes. I shook my head trying to get rid of the thought and slowly placed my foot inside his room one at a time. I had to lean over the bed to grab his notebook but just as I was about to, his arms grabbed onto my waist and brought me down on top of him. I was completely dumbfounded but glad to see his eyes were still shut. I grabbed the notebook and tried to get out of his hold. His grip was like Hercules. It took some time, but as I was about to leave I noticed him opening his eyes so I got out as fast as I could hoping he didn't see.
"Did you get it?" Kara questions eagerly.
"Yes, and you so owe me, I think he saw me!"
"Oh come on don't you think he would have confronted you if he did. Besides it looks like he's not in his room anymore."
I let out a sigh of relief. "Okay, thank god."
"Taylor, my mom just texted me, I've got to go. See you at school Monday?"
"Sure thing, bye!"
With that, she left. Oh gosh I am so scared. What if he saw me? He probably thinks I'm some kind of creep! I try to get my mind off of it by opening the notebook and reading a small portion of it.. I was shocked when I realized it was a diary! Boys have diaries?
I rang up Kara as soon as I found out. "Hey"
"Hey guess what!!" I shrieked
"What? Did lover boy find out it was you?"
"No! Turns out the notebook is a diary."
"Don't read it without me! Tomorrows Sunday so I'll come over and read it with you, okay?"
"Sure. I wonder if he wrote about me!"
"Don't get your hopes up, although I love you and there shouldn't be a reason that he didn't write about you, don't be disappointed if he didn't alright?"
"Yeah yeah, okay I'm gonna head to bed. Goodnight!"
"Night."
Well this should be interesting.
