+Chapter 4: Insanity+
The wind slapped my face as I headed straight for the glassy lake; the roar of the waterfall was much more thunderous as I fell right beside it. Drops of crystal water punctured me and I kept my eyes open, but inwardly flinched as I saw all the rocks below me.
I truly am a psychotic suicidal freak.
Why didn't I stop to think there might be rocks? Instead I chose to protect my pride and jump off a freakin' cliff. I willed my eyes to stay open, as I almost made it to the bottom, but they reflexively closed, not wanting to witness my great killer fall. Stubbornly, I reopened them.
I wasn't sure if it was my insanity or my bad sight, but I could faintly see shadows dancing below me; they were human like. I couldn't see them clearly, but it seemed as if they had black hoods; they looked almost like those soul sucking creatures from Harry Potter. They were singing a morbid song and one reached out it's hand and it's was a skeleton. The flesh was gone and only thing left was the shocking white bone. Am I crazy or what?
Though my insane side couldn't stop and smile smugly, knowing that if I did die here, it would be like kicking my disease in the ass along with Dexic; plus it's quite a beautiful place.
I was too caught up in my triumph, I didn't notice a blur pass to my right and suddenly I was cradled in muscled arms. I looked up in confusion to see I was now back on top of the waterfall and Dexic was the one holding me, an amused look on his face.
"Youre quite stupid aren't you?" He smirked and I smiled, right before reaching up and socking him in his charasmistic face. Again. Some men just don't learn.I jumped out of his arms and looked down the waterfall to see if those shadows were there, but they were gone. I blinked. Maybe it was my bad sight?
"I prefer risky, reckless or insane; but not stupid. People who do not have the capability of thinking for themselves, are stupid. People who jump off cliffs for the sake of feeling alive and protecting there pride are just insane. Do you understand the difference? Or should I explain it more thoroughly?" I defended,
pretty artogantly; he rubbed his jaw before looking at me with the same amused look. I scowled.
"A more thorough explanation would work." He responded with a smirk; it has come to my notice that he doesn't smile. It's almost as if he is incapable of smiling.
"Well I don't have one, so figure it out yourself." I retorted, before thinking back to how he saved me. How
the hell did he do that? To just jump off a cliff, swoop down catch somebody and then just fly back up? I narrowed my eyes at him," Though since were talking about explanations, how the heck did you get me?" I asked him.
His smirk fell and his face hardened; his somber black eye seemed to shine sinfully." Luck." Was all he responded with. I looked at him with impatience and he scowled. "It was nothing. I jumped off, caught you and climbed back up." He said cooly; I sent him the same impatient look. He's the stupid one.
"That is a really stupid explanation. Really, I know that didn't happen. You flew!" I exclaimed and he scowled.
"Believe it or not, that's the explanation." he said roughly; I frowned. I wonder if the whole curiousity kills the cat pertains to me? I am very curious. What if he has superpowers? He's an alien? A vampire? You do
hear a lot of stories about them now. Maybe if I pretended to know what he was, he'd admitt it?
"Oh Dexic, Dexic." I taunted and made a confident look come to my face.
"What?" He demanded.
"I know what you are." I said smugly and his eyes widened in bafflement. Looks like my technique is working.
"Really?" He asked with uncertainty.
"Yes." I smiled, waiting for him to say what he was.
"Then what am I?"
"You know." I responded, not knowing where to go with this now.
"Yes I do." His lips twitched, as if he was trying to keep himself from laughing.
"You, you're not human." I said smartly, but knowing I failed with my plan.
"And you're right." He nodded. I inwardly smiled with triumph; atleast he admitted he wasn't human. Now I just had to get him to admit what he was. I suppose my crazy self, kept me from being shocked or horrified
that he wasn't human. Instead the thought intrigued me.
"Yes I know." I said.
"So what am I, oh so smart Avrey?" He taunted and I frowned, knowing he turned the tables on me. I officially don't like him.
"Youre a-"
"Yes I am a unicorn!" He finished and chuckled with humor. I stopped and looked at him as if he was an utter idiot.
"What?"
"Youre right Avrey. I am a unicorn, who can fly and I love taking long walks in the beach while the sun sets." I knew he was messing with me and that ticked me off; I went up to him and kicked him hard on the shin.
"Dick! " I shouted and stormed away.
"Insane and violent." I heard him mutter behind me, but I just flicked him off and stormed off back to the cabins. Stupid inhuman person. Really, who the hell is a unicorn? He's probably vampire or something, they tend to be dishonest, like him. Or so I've read.

I groaned, seeing Tak's furious gaze. I could just hear his speech already.
"Avrey! What did I tell you? The forest is dangerous." He demanded strictly. I sighed and zoned him out. Blah, blah, blah. Is what I heard from then out. I swear, he is so over protective of me. Jeez, and he's only my coach.
"Avrey! Are you listening?" He asked, snapping his fingers in my face. I pushed his hand away and rolled my eyes.
"Oh father Tic Tak! You know I was listening!" I shouted sarcastically. He narrowed his eyes at me, before sighing, seeming to calm himself down. Jeez his in early twenties, but acts like freakin' dad.
"Avrey, look I'm sorry I'm being strict. I care for you and that forest is dangerous." He sighed is desperation.
"Ill listen, if you just tell me why it's so dangerous." I said, trying to be more undestanding; my mom would chop his balls off if anything happened to me.
"I don't want to scare you-no give you a reason to go in there." He said, furrowing his eyebrows.
"What?" I asked in confusion.
"I don't want you to try to be a detective after I tell you this." He warned and I nodded, truly curious to know what he was going on about.
"Six people have died, disapearead, or been murdered in that forest." My jaw dropped and I looked at him in shock.
"You don't know what happened to them?" I asked.
"We never found their bodies." he whispered sadly

Sorry for the drama/ suspense, again. Tell me if you liked the chap or not. If you didn't, I'll rewrite it. Tell me what part you didn't like or did. I'm working hard on this story and it is pretty different from my others, but I like it. It is very mysterious, and supernatural. There will be quite a few twists and no they're not bad. Well not all of them; some are pretty cool.
Please tell me what you think! I'll dedicate the chap to the person who gives me the best review! Sorry that's the best price I got...
Also my Rockstar story will be uploaded next! *<:•} clown!
