+++Fatal Attractions 5: Questions+++

"Never found their bodies..?" I echoed, in utter shock; It now made sense why Tak was so obsessed with me not going into the forest. I wonder if Dexic knows anything about this? How did they die? Dissapear without a trace? Tak is right, I want to find the answers.

"No, they were never found again. We searched for years, sent out banners, everything...nobody knew where they were. They just vanished into thin air. Avrey please tell me you won't go in there alone anymore." He pleaded, his eyes filled with sadness. I couldn't say no...I bit my lip. It was in my nature to solve things.

"I promise." I replied,he said I can't go alone. Going with Thanatos isn't alone, so technically I never went alone in the first place. Now that I think about it, where did Thanatos go? Maybe he stayed with Dexic? Traitor. Tak looked at me skeptically and I felt slightly guilty, but hell I can't leave a mystery alone.

He sighed and nodded wordlessly, as if he didn't truly believe me, but had slight hope that I'd listen.

"Well let's go." He said, grabbing my hand and leading me toward the cabins; my breath shook at the utter warmth that I felt go through me from the contact. It was just a complete sense of familiarity. I looked at him in confusion."What?" He asked innocently, was it just my insanity again?

"Nothing." I shook my head. He nodded and lead us through the trail that went to the cabins ;the warm feeling still there, but I did my best to ignore it. The sun was still high up in the sky, I was extremely tired. I just felt like sleeping. My eyes widened in realization; I didn't eat...Atleast I took the vitamins.

My eyes trailed around the forest, at the emerald green trees and grass. It was such a beautiful place, how

could people just dissapear here? Who killed them? Oh the curiousity, it's not a good thing.

"Tak?" I asked, curiousity getting the better of me.

"What?" He asked warily.

"Who were they?"

"The people who disappeared?" He asked somewhat nervously; he knew I was gonna go out and search for answers. He knew me too well.

"Yeah." I replied casually as if the response didn't really interest me.

"Well..." He started hesitantly," ...they were campers, young, old, female, male. It wasn't anything that showed clues of it being serial. The only thing in common that they had was..."He glanced at me, a uncertain look on his face.

"What?" I questioned eagerly.

"They all had health problems..."He trailed off quietly. My heart stopped; I had health problems. Could those voices in my nightmares have anything to do with it? No they were just dreams.

"What kind?" I heard myself whisper.

"Look Avrey, I don't want to scare you-no wait I do. Maybe then you'll stop going in the forest." He sent me a stern look." They had...Cancer, diabetes, AIDS...diseases that had no cure. We don't know if they died in the forest from being lost, someone killed them or what. It's a complete mystery." He said with sadness. A thought came to me that made me feel inconsiderate for asking him all these questions.

"Were you close to anyone of them?" I questioned quietly; his grip on my hand tightened and he led us up to my cabin; climbing up the few steps with ne.
