I was laying on my bed with the biggest grin on my face. The memories from the night my date with Harry replayed in my mind. I'd never been in a serious relationship before, but i could also imagine one with Harry. I don't know what he sees in me. I always feel as if I am fragile and any second i could shatter. I feel as if he does too much for me, He's trying to stop me from breaking.
A soft knock on my window interrupted my thoughts. I swung my feet off the bed and walked over to the window. I pulled it open and looked down to see Harry Styles standing there with a few rocks in his hand. I raised an eyebrow.

"You know, Styles, if that rock would've broken my window, you would be paying for it?" I teased.

"Eh, I took my chances." he smiled up at me. I laughed softly. "Can I come in?" he asked. I bit my lip and shook my head.

"I don't think that's such a good idea." I whispered. My mother was home and I didn't want her to know I was with someone. She might hurt him.

"Why not?" he asked.

"I just-"

"Briana? Are you talking to someone?" I heard my mother shout from my door. I whipped around, my heart pounding.

"N-no." I said, shakily. My hands were trembling as they clung to the window sill. "Harry, you should go."

"Briana, what's wrong?" he asked from the ground.

"Harry, leave!" I cried. Tears were rolling down my face.

"Briana! OPEN UP!" my mother shouted. I looked out the window to find Harry gone. I should have felt relieved but instead I felt disappointed that he would leave me. The door flung open and I quickly wiped my tears away and straightened out.

"Child, I swear to God, if you don't tell me who was here I will-"

"There was no one, mother." I answered innocently. She huffed and slapped me across the face before turning and leaving. Both of my hands instantly rested against my face, trying to relieve the pain that travelled along my cheek. I stood there for a bit, trying to compose myself. After a few minutes, I turned to the window and whispered softly.

"Harry?" I asked quietly. I prayed he was still here. "Harry?" I called again. Silence answered me. "Harry?" My voice broke into a sob. My face rested in my palms as I sobbed continuously. I dialled his number and held the phone up to my ear.

"Harry, where are you? I'm sorry. i need you to pick me up. Please." I heard silence on the other end. "Harry? I need you here." I sobbed.

"I am here." I heard a voice behind me. I turned to see Harry behind me, holding his cell phone to his ear. He smiled at me and I ran towards him. His arms enveloped me in a hug.

"B-but... You were..." I couldn't think of what to say.

"Shh, it's alright. I snuck in through the front door. Do you want to talk about it?" He whispered to me, gently rocking me from side to side.

"Not tonight, please. I can't right now." I told him quietly.

"That's okay." He told me. He brushed a tear off my cheek before sitting down on the edge of my bed. "Come 'ere. Just lay with me." I sat beside him on my bed before laying down and nestling into his chest. He wrapped his arms protectively around me and for the first time in a long time, I felt safe. I didn't worry about my mother because all could focus on was the soft sound of our breathing and Harry's arms around me.

"Thank you," I whispered, closing my eyes. He kissed the top of my head slowly and then looked at me in the eyes.

"I will always be here for you Briana."

The next morning, I was still lying in his arms. I admired him as his chest rose and then fell. His eyelids were shut lightly, hiding the emeralds from sight. I sighed before wriggling from his grasp. I got out of the bed and creapt downstairs to see if my mother was there. Just as I rounded the corner, I saw my mother walking back towards me. I bit back a gasp before running back to my room before she saw me. I ran to the bed where Harry was. I gripped his arm and began shaking violently.

"Harry! You have to leave. She's coming! I shouted in a hushed whisper. He sat up quickly, rubbing his eyes. He looked around the room disorientated.

"Harry, if she sees you he-" I was cut off by my mother opening up the door. Harry sat up quickly and I gripped his arm in sheer terror.

"Briana! What the hell!" She shouted at me. I could smell the liquor on her lips. "I knew you were a slut but you dot need to f.uck them while I'm in the house," I could feel the tears already springing to my eyes but before I could say anything to her, Harry spoke.

"Actually, ma'am, nothing happened. I just fell asleep at your house." He was so polite to my mother that I didn't know if I wanted to kiss him or smack him for being so nice to someone so cruel.

"I don't care what happened! Get out of my house!" She yelled. Harry looked over at me and could see the tears in my eyes. He stood up and walked right up to her.

"Briana is my girlfriend. I am not leaving her here with you." He spoke sternly. My mother's jaw dropped in shock. Instead of saying something, she threw a punch at Harry. He stumbled backwards, holding his jaw. He ran back up to her ready to throw a punch back but I stepped in front.

"Harry, don't do this." I pleaded, gripping his coat. Then, my mother kicked the back of my knee and I fell over. She kicked me once more on the rib cage before turning and running.

"You were a mistake!" She cried out, leaving the room. Immediately, Harry was at my side.

"Briana? I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." Tears were streaming down his face. He gently caressed my cheek as he sobbed uncontrollably. Harry placed a hand on my ribs and I sucked in a breath.

"Shh, you're gonna be alright. It's all gonna be okay." He whispered. Suddenly, he was filled with anger.

"T-that bitch! She thinks that she can just kick you around and treat you like you mean nothing? How can she not see that you are the most beautiful person on earth? How can anybody not see how perfect you are?" He was shaking with anger now and was pacing around the room. "Briana, you need to be safe and you aren't safe here. Please, come to my house." He tried to speak slowly and calmly but you could tell he was still upset.

"B-but my mom will..." I trailed off and looked up at Harry.

"Screw your mom! Briana, please come with me. I promise you'll be safe." He knelt down beside me and gently held my cheek. "It'll be okay." I nodded as he grabbed my hand and gently helped me up. I cried out as my lungs burned. He shhed me once again as he gently helped me downstairs. When we reached the bottom, he could see that my mom was sitting on the couch. My lungs seemed to be on fire. My breathing was short and choppy and I struggled to walk. Harry looked over at me, realizing that I wasn't doing to well. He looked between my mother and I before picking me and carrying me quietly to the door. He tried his best to open the door without a sound but my mother heard. She looked over.

"You bitch! Get back to your room!" She screamed at me. I tucked myself into Harry's chest as he ran out the door and to his car. He gently set me in the passenger seat and ran around to the other side. He threw himself into the car and drove away.
