Dirk realized I hadn't left the car yet, and bent down to peer inside. I was squirming a bit, attempting to get free of the restraints. I saw him looking at me so I froze, sitting normally and looking away. He reached into the car, I leaned away from his hands. He undid the belt and I squirmed to let it retract. I squirmed a bit to much, cause I flopped over onto the seat. I didn't have my arms to stop me or push me back up. I was on my back, looking up at Dirk and clicking my teeth at him. He smirked a bit, and lifted me out of the car. I tried to wiggle out of his arms, but he only held me tighter.
"Let me go you son of a bitch!" I exclaimed. He stood me on the ground, quickly untying Karkat's sweater, freeing my arms. Dirk gently pulled it off and lobbed it at Karkat. He pulled it on, taking care to avoid his horns. Dirk unhooked the pump and began to fill the small car. The rest of us moved to the bathroom. I realized too late I had no shoes. I reached the bathroom first, entering and locking the door, exhaling slowly. I relived myself and noticed a small patch of sunlight on the ground. I peered up onto the wall. There was a window! I pressed my ear against the door. I heard Dirk removing the pump from the car. I slowly pushed the small window open, hopping out and landing softly.
I took off running into the forest and accidentally snapped a few branches.
"HEY!" Dirk yelled behind me. I crashed through the the forest, shredding my feet, tearing holes in my shirt. I kept running. I'm gunna be real here, I have 0 grace, and 0 brute strength, but I do have speed and... nothing else. Unfortunately, I get hurt a lot, due to my impeccable clumsiness. I heard 4 bodies crashing through the woodland behind me. 'Shit shit shit shit shit' I thought, while sharp branches scraped and tore at my flesh. I was covered in blood and scratches. I glanced back and saw Karkat on my heels. He reached his arm out to grab me, when I stopped abruptly. He shot past me and slammed into a tree, disorienting him. I turned to my left, bolting again.
WHAM!!!!!!!!
I slammed headlong into Dirk, falling on my ass in the process.
When he reached to grab me, I scuttled backward, bolting, dashing away from a surprised Dirk. I passed a dizzy Karkat, who saw me and yelled, "SHE'S OVER HERE!"
Crap. He gave away my position. I heard footsteps on my left, so I swerved right. I ran past the clearing and turned back, darting past a limping Dave. I thought I heard quiet footsteps on my right, but when I looked, I didn't see anyone.
I slammed headfirst into Jake, who grabbed my shirt as he fell. I toppled, landing on him with an uumph. I shoved myself off him. He flailed, his elbow hitting my gut, simultaneously winding me and knocking me off at the same time. I heaved, greedily dragging precious air into my lungs. I kicked him, knocking him back on his ass when he tried to grab me. Dispite being winded, I stood and ran, leaping over logs and branches, until I came across a fallen tree. Dirk and Dave stood behind me, approaching slowly, as if I was a wounded, feral animal. Nowhere to go. A fallen tree at my back, to big to go over, and to heavy and close to the ground to go under. I lunged forward at Dave, landing on his bandaged chest and digging my short nails, ripping the bandages and hopefully tearing the skin. I used him as a spring board as I lunged off him into the woods. Or I would have if Dirk didn't clothesline me, flinging me over his shoulder. He gripped my legs, keeping me in place with one arm as he helped Dave up with the other. And then he started running again. I screeched, clawing at his back. He jumped over logs and branches, and I bounced along, my head striking his back several times before I coiled my arms tightly around his waist to avoid any more jostling and jerking about. Jake bolted past, glancing at me and Dirk. He tried to stop, he stumbled and Dirk released a leg to catch him. This was my chance! I could escape forever! I kicked up, folding myself backwards and ripping myself free. I hit the ground and attempted to escape again. I got about 6 feet before I tripped, my leg got caught in a fork in a fallen branch. A screech ripping out of me. My leg was sprained. I wouldn't be able to put to much weight on it, making me dependent on others. Jake and Dirk ran toward me. I scuttled back on my hand and back.
"STAY AWAY FROM ME! LET ME GO!" I screamed, flinging up an arm in defense. Jake stopped. Dirk didn't. He grabbed my wrist, I shrieked like his touch burned. I tried to pry my wrist away, but he grabbed the other wrist. I squirmed and shoved back with my injured leg. I landed a solid kick to the chest with my uninjured leg. He released me with a grunt. I shoved myself backwards on my hands until I smacked against Jake's legs. He reached down and grabbed my wrist. Dirk grabbed my other wrist, and took my hand from Jake. He watched me, obviously having been in this situation before. I assumed he had raised Dave, so he must me used to small weak children throwing fits. Do I care? Not in the slightest. He tossed me over one shoulder again, freeing my hands, but effortlessly lifted my battered, bruised, bloody body. I thrashed, only causing him to grip my legs tighter. I pounded in his back with my small fists, screaming all the while. He didn't seem to notice. We walked into the clearing I had passed earlier, where Karkat and Dave waited. Karkat was sitting in the grass, still dizzy maybe? Dave was standing, furiously scrubbing at the lenses of his shades, somehow making it here before us. We reached where they were standing and Dirk dumped me onto ground. Pain seared thought my entire body, emanating from my ankle and ribs. I hissed, bringing a scraped, bloody hand over the cut on my rib. My other hand probed my ankle, attempting to dull the pain. The men surrounded me.
"Why'd you try to escape?" Karkat practically yelled in my face.
"Go to hell," I spat.
I decided that now was a pretty good time to let the pain take over, and drag me under. I collapsed on the grass, a rock opening a cut on my forehead as I struck the ground.
