"Let's go, everyone! This game must be finished! Surface Zone! Here we come!" Brit looked very serious and determined, as if he had made up his mind that this game had to be cleared.
Kiwo was also affected by his emotions, and her overall state seemed to have improved slightly. "Everyone! Ahem... we will definitely... finish this!"
The viewers in the stream saw that the two were so confident, and their emotions were also stirred. Countless chat messages flooded in:
"Come on! I believe in you!"
"Don't stop, believing."
"Come on, you're the best!"
Encouraged invisibly by the chat, Brit and Kiwo's confidence grew significantly.
Brit took another deep breath and stepped forward resolutely. Kiwo also inhaled deeply, suppressing the pain in her body a little, then followed behind Brit. The two walked into the hall in silence, approaching another pair of steel gates deep within.
Brit looked up at the gate; his heart pounded quickly, and conflicted emotions of anxiety and resolve coexisted. But this time, he felt relatively calm. He quickly pulled out the key card, searching for the card reader to swipe it.
To their surprise, they discovered that the card reader, which was supposed to be on one side of the gate, was now on both sides.
Brit, holding the key card, was momentarily confused. Kiwo looked around, also at a loss.
"Brit... how do we... how do we get out..." Kiwo said weakly. As she spoke, her body staggered slightly, nearly falling. Her injury had become quite serious.
Brit looked at her and finally said helplessly, "We may have to take the elevator!"
Kiwo glanced back at the elevator, forcibly suppressing her dizziness, and nodded.
Brit pursed his lips, carefully adjusting the items he was carrying. "Let's go! Let's take the elevator!"
Kiwo naturally had no objections. She was just worried about what dangers might await them next. As for herself, she didn't care much; she was sure she wouldn't make it to the very end.
The two headed straight for the elevator. It looked similar to the one they had used before. Brit examined it carefully, then checked it with the navigator. After confirming there was no visible danger, he pressed the elevator button. Having come this far, he really didn't want to fail now.
Kiwo shared the same thought, and the two waited silently for the elevator. Soon, the doors slid open, revealing the same interior as before. Yet, they didn't know where this elevator would take them.
"Let's go," Brit said softly.
They entered almost without hesitation. Brit pressed the button, and the doors closed automatically. Soon, they felt a slight vibration beneath their feet, accompanied by the sound of the elevator operating.
Silence filled the elevator, and time seemed to slow. Both of them looked forward with anticipation and apprehension, unsure of what they would see or whether they would encounter new and terrifying SCPs.
But no matter what, Brit and Kiwo knew that when the elevator doors opened again, they would be one step closer to completing the game.
And before long, the elevator reached its destination, opening automatically to reveal the next stage.
