So you want to write books on Wattpad and you need some tips on starting? Well, you, my friend, have come to the right place!

When you first make a wattpad account, I would suggest not giving out to much personal info. Your first name and maybe your second should be okay but your middle name isn't needed.

Also, if your giving away your full name and you have a picture of yourself or your wattpad profile picture. Then make sure your personal Facebook, instagram, twitter ect. Is on private so only people you know and trust can access it, otherwise you could end up with a serious stalker problem.

Make sure your username is catchy and unique so it's easier to find and cool to put on your book covers. If you're having trouble finding the right name then there are various username generator websites that you can use.

It also helps to search the username you want to use, on wattpad, to make sure it's not already taken.

Make sure you update your books often but not too often, I would say post a new part between 3 or 4 days. The reason for this is because you don't want to keep the readers waiting for too long or they'll leave, but you don't want to give to them all at once either.

I understand how writing 2-3 new chapters a week can be stressful, time consumming and one of the main causes of writers block. A good way to make sure you always have a new part to publish is to write the whole book before you think about publishing it.

I know when you start a new book you can be eager to publish it straight away, but you need to be patient. Also, if you want to publish it so bad, you're going to have more enthusiasm when it comes to actually writing the book, which is always great.

It also gives you plenty of time to edit and expand your part before publishing.

Write books for the right reasons, don't do it to be "internet famous" or to have loads of followers.

Do it because you enjoy writing and just want to have fun. If you feel like having to write book parts every week is a chore, and not a hobbie, then maybe you should just stick to reading books or maybe finding something else creative to do.

I understand if occasionally you feel sick or down and you just don't feel inspired or bothered that's fine.

As long as you have fun most days then your doing well and your readers will definitely notice by how your work is produced.
