Writing your book

When your writing a book, the first thing you need is a title. The title is probably the most important thing about a book, it can tell a little, a lot or even nothing about your book.

For example 'Adopted By Zalfie' has already been used by hundreds of people, including me. If you want to do a book about someone being adopted by someone it would be better to think of a different title.

For example 'A New Life//A Zalfie Fanfic' would be more unique and would definitely catch the eyes of readers, looking for new books.

The next thing you need a description. Many people write their descriptions different to others. Some write paragraphs and some write dialogue and others may write both, my advice is to do either one of the three just keep it short.

If you write a long description it could loose the interest of readers. Always remember that less is more, the less information you give the more intrigued your readers will be. Also try ending your description with a rhetorical question, for example 'will she find her way home, or will this forest consume her for all eternity?'

So you have your book information, now all you need is a cover to really make your book stand out. It doesn't matter if you have a phone or computer you can make a cover with either. If your using a computer I would recommend using Photoshop, Paint.net or Pixlr.

Paint.net is a free download,  Photoshop isn't free but it does have a free trail that you can use. Pixlr is a website and you can make and save your picture and it is completely free.

If your using your phone you can download a college/photo editor from the app store. There are many different college apps but one I personal think is best is Piccollege. You can add pictures, edit pictures, add text and stickers to make your cover look amazing.

The only bad thing about Piccollege is it has a water mark at the bottom but you could always crop your picture in the gallery to get rid of it.

Another good way to get a cover is to look for a 'Book covers' book and ask the writer for a book cover.

After making your book look and sound great you now need to actually write it. I think that for your first part you need to write at least 2000 to 3000 words. Make sure to paragraph it and add punctuation, it may not seem like it but it really counts and makes your book look a lot more neater.

You also need to check and edit your part before publishing it. To make this easier I would recommend checking threw it after about two or three paragraphs. You may prefer to write all of it first then check it, this is just a suggestion.
