I was in the middle of 6th period. Algebra, oh joy. I was listening to Mr. Jordan, my teacher, explain one of the homework problems. Then there was a commotion going on by the window. The group of kids closest to the window were all talking excitedly and looking out the window.

Mr. Jordan was not going to allow disruptions in his classroom though. When he called the boys out for interrupting the lessons they all started talking at once.

"One at a time!" Mr. Jordan said over the many voices

"There's a chopper outside!" Alex said "And there are people dropping down and running into the building! Look!"

Mr. Jordan made this face as if he was on the fence about believing the kid. He went over to the window and was really surprised.

"My god there really is... and they didn't call over the intercom or anything?" Mr. Jordan mumbled to himself

I didn't know what to think. I had never heard of that ever happening before. Was this some kind of training? If it was wouldn't we know about it so it wouldn't disrupt the classes? Maybe there was some kind of problem, like there was a shooter in the building. But even then, there would be a hard lock down, and I don't think they would call a chopper out here. If these people were from the government, then where were the police? Wouldn't they be here too? Or would they just be in the way?

The large crowd of men that had been running towards the building had now made it into the office. They were talking to the security guard that was at the desk in the front. But I didn't know that. Mr. Jordan tried to get the class to focus back on the lesson, assuring us that everything was ok and that there was no need to pay any attention to the matter. But even after he continued explaining the problem, he seemed a little out of focus himself.

About three minutes after the men entered the building, they burst through the door of my Algebra classroom.

"Everybody freeze! We're special agents from the government!" One of them yelled

The were carrying guns, but they weren't being pointed at anybody. Two of the men rushed forward and picked me up by the arms. I had no idea what was going on, as I was lifted out of my seat and carried away.

"Move! Move! Move!" One of the men yelled as I was dragged out of the classroom

There was no explanation whatsoever. I was dragged down the hallway and then down the stairs.

"What's going on!" I said, trying to break free of their grip "Why are you taking me?"

They didn't answer, but continued to jog, dragging me along. We got outside and they ran up to the ropes dangling from the chopper.

"No please!" I murmured "I'm afraid of heights..."

The one guard let go and the one still holding onto my right arm told me to hold on tight. I clung to him for dear life as he attached himself to the rope and got pulled up. I tried to tell myself not to look down, but I was terrified. I was thrown into the back of the chopper, and I scrambled to the middle so I wouldn't fall out. The other men surrounded me so I couldn't escape, then one of them held a rag to my nose. I tried to hold my breath and fight his grip but I couldn't. I was at a disadvantage. What were they going to do? Kill me? I thought they said they were with the government! Why were they knocking me out?

Then everything in my mind started to blur together, and then it went black.

When I didn't come home after school and didn't answer my phone, my mom was worried. She called up my dad and he came over. They started calling all my friends, who said that they hadn't seen me on the bus after school. Then they called the school to find out about the chopper.

After I had been dragged out of the classroom, Mr. Jordan had tried to call the office. The office was busy trying to figure out what was going on and didn't answer the phone. It wasn't until later that Mr. Jordan confirmed who it was that was being dragged out of the building and what had happened in the classroom.

After my mom found out this information, she called the police. She demanded to know what happened to her son. The police officers promised to investigate upon everything that happened and get back to her. She was still devastated. She was sure that she had lost her son. My dad, even though he really didn't  want to, tried to comfort her. He was shocked too. His son had been taken, right out of school which was supposed to be a safe place. What had Eric even done to deserve this anyway?
