The bath was nice, but after I was dragged out and dried off, the robots started tattooing me. It was strange how I was given all this freedom. I was starting to wonder when the freedom would end. As far as I knew, I might not even have human rights here! I was starting to think that I might not even be in the U.S. anymore. I feel like a place like this would be found by the government. Unless this really was being run by the government, from what I was told it really didn't seem like it.

After the tattooing I was wiped down with this chemical that would instantly make the tattoos scab over and heal. This was an amazing advancement for technology as far as I knew, and it was amazing to watch. After that I was dressed and I got my hair cut and styled, as well as my piercings done and my nails trimmed. After that, my favorite meal, a cheeseburger that looked like it walked right out of my favorite restaurant was brought right in front of me.

"We encourage you to eat, since it will help you regain your strength for your training." Munchkin said

I was really hungry. I looked at the burger longingly, but there was the risk of poison. Although I guess there was also a risk with being tattooed and pierced, but I put it off since I didn't feel weird yet.

"Please Eric." Munchkin said "Try a bite."

I decided that if my fate was poison, I would be able to die tattooed, which seemed like a pretty good trade for me. Since I was only 14. Then I thought again. I was asleep for 2 years, so in reality, I was 16. I grinned to myself, taking a bite out of the burger. It tasted amazing. I ate the french fries as well. I took one sip of the pop and stared at it. It tasted extremely sweet. Not having pop in forever made me forget how it really tasted. Going without sugar made the sugary taste stronger. When I finished eating, the desk was cleared, and the robots helped me up. They were letting me walk this time.

We left the little pod and went out into the main hall. It looked like a jail, going several stories up and down, all with the big gaping hole in the center so you could see down. The walls were lined with pods similar to mine. There weren't any people inhabiting them though. I seemed to be the only one. There weren't any more students.

We reached a classroom and I was put in a desk. A large textbook was dropped on the desk, and the administrative robot instructed me to read. I flipped open to the first page of the book, which was essentially everything anyone needed to know about computers, from building one to the code to make different applications. As soon as I started to read, my brain started to feel different. I began to skim down the pages, retaining information faster and faster. An hour later, I had read the book front to back and remembered every single sentence. This continued for hours, with several different books, like history books and classic literature and different books on how to do things. I was starting to feel like a computer. Was there a limit on how much information I could store?

After about 12 hours of reading and storing information, they gave me a break. I was allowed to study whatever I wanted for 2 hours. I covered music theory and playing guitar, drums and bass as well as singing techniques. When my free time was up, I went back to studying different things. It was really amazing. Was I really intelligent?

"Student 2008721 is progressing quickly." A man in a white lab coat said "He should be done reading all the information by the end of the month."

"How long will he be able to keep working before he slows down?" Another man asked

"We'll have to find out. If he doesn't slow down then we may have to force him to rest." The first man said

"Right, we can't have him blow up on us." Said the second man

"But wouldn't you love to get your hands on that brain of his?" The first man said

"No!" A woman in a crisp black suit said sternly "We are not letting this one go to waist. He is going to bring us to power. When we have the whole world under our control with no questions asked, it wont matter what you do with him. But now we need to keep him safe."

"Yes ma'am." The two men said at the same time

Eric's mom was sleeping again. She was extremely depressed over the loss of her son. She had been given time off work, but really there was nothing that would cure her from the loss.

Her ex-husband wasn't that much better either. He became a really quiet, and distant man. His wife tried to do her best to help him, but he was just a completely different man. He would often spend time talking to himself, as if he was talking to Eric. Some people thought he was truly insane, but it was really just the loss of his son.

The two parents would often call each other and talk about their son. It made them feel a little bit better, knowing that there was someone else that was feeling their same pain.

It was late the next night when I realized that sleep was calling my name. The administrative robot said I was free to leave. I stood up and made my way to the door, nearly collapsing halfway there. The two robots that had been helping me around earlier returned and brought me back to my room.

Before I fell asleep that night, I thought about my parents. It had been 2 years since I had seen them. I missed them greatly, but did they still miss me? The reality of it was, 2 years is enough time to get over the loss. They probably think that I'm dead. I thought They probably don't even think about me anymore. I'm just a forgotten memory.
