CHAPTER SEVEN: Richest Bitch
"Some days are just bad days, that's all. You have to experience sadness to know happiness, and I remind myself that not every day is going to be a good day, that's just the way it is."

Before Stiles, Scott and Luna could come up with any other theories about who was controlling the Kanima, the sound of a chair scraping against the tile floor rang through the library. All eyes turn to find Jackson standing, his face contorted in distress as if he were about to throw up everywhere.
Luna couldn't help but wonder if it had something to do with the chips Matt offered him earlier. They looked kinda stale even from a distance.
"Hey, you don't look so good," Harris said, sounding worried? Since when did Harris care about a student's well-being?
"I just need some water," Jackson managed to say before hastily leaving the room.
Harris's next words caught Luna off guard once again. "No one leaves their seats," he commanded before quickly following after his favourite student. And Luna found it outrageous that Jackson was allowed to leave with no questions asked while the rest of them were expected to remain seated. Blatent favouritism if you asked her.
Not that any of them would listen anyways.
Just as the door closed behind Harris, Luna, Scott, and Stiles pushed away from the table and raced over to where Erica was seated. Panting, Luna practically collapsed in the seat next to her while Scott and Stiles took the seats across. She leaned in close, "Hey, Erica. Stiles says you know how Jackson's parents died."
Erica didn't even spare them a glance, "Maybe."
Scott rolled his eyes, "Talk".
With a dramatic sigh, Erica blinked at him through her long eyelashes before leaning back, her voice tinged with a touch of superiority as she spoke. "It was a car accident. My dad was the insurance investigator, and whenever he sees Jackson driving by in his Porsche, he can't help but make comments about the massive settlement Jackson will receive when he turns eighteen."
Luna's jaw dropped in disbelief. A huge settlement? So, not only was Jackson insanely rich now, but he was destined to become even richer?
How the hell was that fair?
She couldn't help but feel annoyed. Why did the popular ones always seem to have it all? Lydia was beautiful, Jackson was both rich and attractive, and Allison was beautiful and got the man.
Meanwhile, Luna was just depressed.
Why couldn't she at least be rich as well? She deserved it. In fact, she deserved the world.
