Falling in love

EXAMPLE

I walked down the street minding my own buisiness and than someone bumped against me. Because of that my Starbucks fell on my Gucci coat. I looked up and saw this guy with sexy blue eyes. 'I'm so sorry.' he said. 'how can i make it up to you?' I thought about his question. Even his voice was sexy! Butterflies flew around in my belly. I was in love!

This is the one of the fragments i found. How in the world?! Would you fall in love so fast, and with someone who threw coffee on your coat? You don't even know this person. He/She/They could be a murderer for fucks sake.

Okay i get it, you can fall in love at the first sight. But really, be realistic, how often does that happen? And i think that if you happen to fall in love at the first sight it, you would'nt fall in love with the person who ruined your coat.

Maybe if you go get coffee togheter and you find out that you have thins in common. Than i understand if you make your character fall in love.

The different kinds of attraction:

Romantic Attraction:

Romantic attraction is a feeling that causes people to desire a romantic relationship with a specific another person.

Sexual Attraction:

Sexual attraction is a feeling that causes people to desire  sexual contact with a specific another person.

Crushes

A crush is a feeling that causes people to desire a romantic relationship of some kind, a desire that's possibly temporary in nature, if never acted upon.

Squishes

A squish is an aromantic crush. This is the desire for a strong platonic relationship with someone.

Sensual Attraction

A desire to do sensual but not sexual things with someone. Especially related to tactile sensuality, such as cuddling.

Aestetic Attraction

An attraction to other people in which you don't want anything from them except that you like their appearance.

As you can see there are a lot kinds of attraction. What you just read is a crush. How can you be rmanticaly attracted to someone you don't know? This feeling will eventually go away becase you will probably never see them again after you had coffee togheter. Unless he really likes you and gives you his number.

my opinion

I've never had a real realationship so i can't really an opinion about this. I'll try tho.

Like I already said i think you don't fall in love with someone at the first sight. Have you ever fallen in love? If yes, use your experience while writing. If not, ask someone who has how they fell in love.

Look at Bella Swan, she saw Edward en BAM! she fell in love. Look how well that turned out. If you look at it, she only talks about how he looks. She's not completely senile because his behavour is ridiculous. He's abusive and controlling. But she stays with him because she thinks he's hot.

THIS IS NOT ROMANTIC ATTRACTION BUT LUST!!!!

She wants to become a vamp but Edward blackmails her into marrying him.

THIS IS NOT LOVE THIS IS ABUSE! MAYBE NOT PSYCHICAAL BUT MENTAL!

I'm gonna stop now otherwise this will turn into a ten page rant about twilight. Maybe next time!
