First Kiss

I watched as my mother, the woman who gave birth to me, who I had know all my life lay in the bed sick unable to cure sentced to live in misery.

I sat beside her slowly rubbing her cold small hands before completing falling apart.

She was only freaking 38, she had so much more living to do...

Farkle rubs his tears only for more to come and he chuckles sadly threw tears as he hears a knock at the door and he quietly gets up grabbing a tissue cleaning his tears before opening the door.

Lucas smiles drops at the expression Farkle is wearing on his face.

"You came here to get me for school so let's go" I mumbled grabbing his hand not looking at his puppy eyes.

I grabbed my keys locking the door behind me slowly walking to Lucas's pickup truck before I felt a hand around my waist turning me around.

I look away. "We're gonna be late"

Lucas sighs. "You really think I care about that right now"?

I don't answer.

Lucas frown grows bigger.

"Look I know your having a really fucking hard time right now but-

Something...in me snapped and my eyes switch to look at his a drizzle of rain started to come down from the sky but we both ignored it.

"You have no fucking idea, how it feels" I screech out pointing his chest looking up into his hazel eyes with fury.

Lucas grinds his teeth a bit.

"I know I don't that was what I'm was trying to say"!

Farkle crosses his arms.

It's fully raining now.

"Can we just go to school" I asked.

"No we can't Farkle, not when your clearly depressed" Lucas addressed.

I sigh. "You think I'm depressed"?

"Annnnd how did you come to that conclusion"?

"Welllllll it's obvious, your mother is dying and there's no cure....I just thought-

I cut him off. "I'm not depressed Lucas"

And Lucas shivers.

"Then what's wrong" Lucas asked confused and scared.

"There's nothing wrong" I snapped.

Lucas smiles and points at me. "See right there you just snapped 'My' Farkle would never do that"

I chuckle softy smiling a bit before walking over sitting down on my porch step, wrapping my arms around my legs.

Lucas sits down next to me.

"I love you and I care about you...I just want to make sure your okay"...

"I wish sometimes you were like Maya and Riley" Farkle sighed out rubbing his wet cold legs.

"Howcome" Lucas stated confused looking at the rain clouds.

"When they see friend or person that's not them who's sad they just ignore it but you, you just have to know everything and how to make it better" I sighed out.

"I wish you didn't care about me" I mumbled.

Lucas looks at me. "You think that I don't care about you"?

"I- but I cut myself off it was probably around 1 by now to late to go to school now...

Let's...see were this leads.

"Um, yeah sometimes"

Lucas eyes get wider.

Lucas bites his lip before getting up on his knees making me think he was leaving me like everyone else.

I felt him grab my shoulders pulling me in for a kiss.

An actual kiss.

My eyes widen that was something I wasn't expecting...

But...in a good way I suppose.

We pull away  catching our breath looking at sky again, it was still raining but it was drizzling now.

"We're gonna be sick" I whisper running a hand threw his wet hair.

He grabs my hand leaning toward my ear. "Don't worry I'll take care of us"

I sneeze.

Lucas laughs pecking my lips.

"Starting now"
