I was in cloud 9 after what happened at school.
The girls and I decided to go to that masquerade ball to see if we can catch A once and for all. I invited Jason to be my date but he had work to finish unfortunately, but Aria said we can go together since Ezra can't make it.
"You ready?" Spencer asked me just as I finished putting in my earring
"As ready as I'll ever be" I said to her giving her a small smile
"Mona is also going with to help catch A so I am riding with her" said Hanna grabbing her purse
"See you there" Aria said waving
"Shall we go?" Emily asked hooking her arm with me and Aria
"We shall, Spencer we will see you and Toby there" Aria said to Spencer
Me, Emily and Aria got in my car and headed towards the venue.
We we got out we went to Spencer, Toby, Hanna and Mona which I still have a bad feeling about.
"Okay guys, we have to look out for the black swan and please be save" Spencer said giving us all hugs
"Let's do this" I said
We went inside after we putted on our masks, me, Aria and Emily hitted the dance floor and danced to a nice song with a beat and danced our hearts out. Aria said after the dance that she needed somehing to drink so we followed her to the punch table and got some punch.
A slow song started to play and I saw that Caleb came to surprise Hanna and a guy approaching Aria
"I believe I owe the pleasure for this dance?" He said sounding quite familiar
"Ezra?! What are you doing here I thought you had some business in New York" she said sounding surprised
"I didn't want to miss this" he said taking her hand nd leading her to the dance floor and both dancing close to each other
"I'm quickly going to Spence, have fun" Em wispered in my ear
Have fun? What the hell does that mean?
"Hey baby" someone wispered softly in my ear and kissing my temple gently
I quickly spun around and saw Jason in a sexy tuxedo
"Jase I thought you couldn't make it" I said giving him a hug and quick kiss
"I wanted to surprise you" he said snaking his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to him
"Well I'm surprised" I said with a chuckle
We kept quiet and just looked into each others eyes and swaying to the slow song
"Hey sorry to interrupt but we need to borrow Kody quickly" Aria said pulling me away from Jason not even giving him a chance to protest
"What's wrong?" I asked when I saw all the girls were there except Spencer and Mona
"Where is Spencer and Mona" I asked with panic in my voice
"Spencer called she and Mona are going back to the last woods and while you and Jason were busy dancing The Black Swan came in and we chased her but we lost her" said Hanna to me
"But we didn't want to bother you and Jason" said Emily softly
Ring!Ring!Ring!
"It is Spencer" Aria said
"Hello Spencer?" She said nothing came out on the other side
"You think you girls were so smart not thinking the popular girl will be A? Now I'm gonna take care of you once and for all at the cliffs" we heard Mona said and gasped
"We have go go now" I said as wd all hurried to my car and speeding of to the Rosewood cliffs
I forgot about Jason and the other guys but right now Spencer is more important
"I know a short cut, take a left here" said Emily navigating the shortcut
When we got there I stepped on the braked and got out before the other girls
I saw Mona holding a gun to towards Spencer and Spencer looking scared as shit
"Mona! Please stop doing this" tried Hanna but that only distracted her for like two seconds but gave enough time for Spencer to hide behind the car and me tackling and wrestling with Mona for the gun. A shot fired from her gun and everything became quiet. It hit me. I punched Mona so hard that she blacked out and standed up my back facing the girls.
"Are you okay Kody" asked Emily from a distance
A single tear fell from my eye onto my cheek. I turned around and the girls gasped
"I love you guys so much never forget it and tell Jason I love him to the moon and back" I said to them with a sad smile
"Nooooooooo!" I heard them scream and that was the last thing I heard with faintly hearing sirens in the distance.
'I love you Jason Dilaurentis' that was my last thought until I slipped into darkness
